4:07 It seems to me the question "Do you understand?" generally comes across offensive. I don't think it's a good question in any situation. It sounds abrupt and bossy. It only makes a "subordinate" feel more subordinate and less likely to want to cooperate. It doesn't motivate or inspire. But even more important, the question isn't specific enough to get a specific answer. It's the kind of question that a bad manager would ask after inadequately explaining something.
