Wayne. I always suggest a Garrett. Easy to learn and operate. Many people start with the Ace series. If you can afford it we use the AT Series. Best bang for the buck. Good luck!

How far from Brad's GW was this one dug? If it's not far, find some period maps that would have roads on them. From there it's not too hard to figure out potential routes used between those two buttons when they were being promoted. May be worth banging on more doors. Great video Kirt unbelievable hammered Lizzy . I use the Noxie with the 15 on .Always amazes me how a big coil pops small items . I popped a tiny firing cap at over 8 inch . I am off out today to try a new site with great history site of a medieval English Against Scotland battle site 1400's . But I will be taking the racer2 with the 15 on as it hasn't been out for a while and I like to keep them used . Bobs reaction unreal lol .

I'm thinking that you should keep hitting that field until they kick you out. You have your new Walmart. And Baltimore can't put their nose where it doesn't belong this time.
The water usually takes off a layer of detail and green that you can typically leave on a coin with a dry brush or wipe only. Soon as you remove that layer, you lose details and color and very often the date (if there was one to be seen.) Some can be wet, depends on the soil they came from.
Wow, what a day! You guys are so lucky to have that kind of history where you are. Here in Ohio it is hard to find things that old. My oldest coin up to now is a 1789 Reale. Mostly we find Seated and Barbers.

@@melo7572 Well then I guess I feel kinda bad for whining--I have found one wheat cent but I could only barely tell that's what it was, and its' year was corroded completely away. I've also found various modern change, a couple pieces of costume jewelry (no precious metals yet but it's encouraging just to see that jewelry really can fall off people without them realizing--ha--I halfway wondered if jewelry digs were staged for some videos). My very best find was a 1945 war nickel, right in my driveway, when I was detecting at night with a headlamp! It was in good shape, but all those other coins, no, especially copper. I've even found SHIELD pennies just a few years old in terrible shape. I live in Mobile Alabama which is a conundrum--dripping with history but also with water; it gets more rain than any other city in the US and it's very low elevation so the water just sits in the ground for metals to marinate in. But the nice war nickel tells me that at least SILVER can handle it, so hopefully I'll find more of that. Oh and gold would be nice too. ;-)
As a kid i had a cheap Radio Shack detector and and only found a deeply buried sewer pipe> I gathered a crowd at the local swimming hole only to be shamed !

The water usually takes off a layer of detail and green that you can typically leave on a coin with a dry brush or wipe only. Soon as you remove that layer, you lose details and color and very often the date (if there was one to be seen.) Some can be wet, depends on the soil they came from.
Yup. All depends on the soil. When the soil dies fast sometimes I’ll assist with water. I’d rather go dry when I can

Wow, what a day! You guys are so lucky to have that kind of history where you are. Here in Ohio it is hard to find things that old. My oldest coin up to now is a 1789 Reale. Mostly we find Seated and Barbers.

Okay before I let this video play lemmie say it will officially make or break my willingness to keep metal detecting because I haven't found much so far. So if the MOST AMAZING METAL DETECTING EVER doesn't keep me inspired, i don't know what will. No pressure or anything.

@@melo7572 Well then I guess I feel kinda bad for whining--I have found one wheat cent but I could only barely tell that's what it was, and its' year was corroded completely away. I've also found various modern change, a couple pieces of costume jewelry (no precious metals yet but it's encouraging just to see that jewelry really can fall off people without them realizing--ha--I halfway wondered if jewelry digs were staged for some videos). My very best find was a 1945 war nickel, right in my driveway, when I was detecting at night with a headlamp! It was in good shape, but all those other coins, no, especially copper. I've even found SHIELD pennies just a few years old in terrible shape. I live in Mobile Alabama which is a conundrum--dripping with history but also with water; it gets more rain than any other city in the US and it's very low elevation so the water just sits in the ground for metals to marinate in. But the nice war nickel tells me that at least SILVER can handle it, so hopefully I'll find more of that. Oh and gold would be nice too. ;-)
As a kid i had a cheap Radio Shack detector and and only found a deeply buried sewer pipe> I gathered a crowd at the local swimming hole only to be shamed !
