    is anyone else not a little concerned with what's going on recently? The introduction of the divinity content, alongside the fact that she's shooting her videos in different locations from before, with worse camera and audio equipment. I'm almost worried if she's been ensnared by some sort of a predatory sect.

    I have handwritten sticky notes and put them everywhere in my place 🤣
    for example on each door is a note that says 문 or on each mirror is a note that says 거울 because I kind of keep forgetting the word mirror. So everyday when I come across the notes I start reading them and link the word with the object it is attached to 😄
    Sometimes I also form a super basic sentence with the word like
    저는 문을 열어요

      👍🏻 That's a great strategy. I used to do the same for quite some time. It really helps.
      I also run around calling things by their Korean words.
      Yes, sometimes people look at me like I'm crazy if they overhear me. lol. It's a great conversation starter. It really can help as well though.

    I wouldn't actually say to TRY and make mistakes... rather, we should TRY using the language more frequently and be willing to learn from our mistakes. We make note of them and recall that the next time we use those words or sentences. Great video, Unnie!

    안녕하세요 언니~~~!
    I know exactly what you mean!
    I sort of hit a wall when I got to where I needed to start building my Korean vocabulary. It wasn't as fun to me as learning the rules and the way it's used and actually the philosophy behind the language.
    So I have been stuck learning for quite some time now. Even though I flew through learning how to use the language.
    Because it isn't as exciting and fun I have cut way back on the amount of time I put into it.
    So I started working on developing a way to correct this issue.
    I started doing it in categories instead of a random list of words. I picked a category and like family or body or home items and made a list of words I wanted to know on a page for each category. Then I went to work looking up the Korean for each word.
    This way I was having to write it all to help with deep, long term memorization.
    I also run around all day calling things I know by their Korean words.
    I've picked back up on my learning quite a lot!
    Hope this helps.
    Much love to you all!
    안녕히가세요 친구들~~~!

    Mnemotechnics or mnemonics is another good way helpful in making vocab more memorable. For complex or less frequently used words for example. An amazing but relatively unresearched area. Even for me, even though I love its potential, especially for learning a language.
    As for this language, at times things get in the way and something ends up being put on hold. But Korean Unnie is there to keep us on track, focused, inspired and tightly 'tied' to the Korean language. Thank you!! 🙏
    연습 하면 할수록 실력이 늘 거고 까먹지 않을 거예요. 그런데 매일이나 주마다 어떤 걸 배우기는 진짜 중요한 것 겉아요. 아니면 시간이 좀 걸릴 거예요.
    Korean Unnie Way는 잘하는 방법이에요! 한국언니함께 공부하는 것이 최고예요! 정말 수고하셨습니다!! 항상 파이팅하세요!!🙏💪💙

    I returned to the US after 15 years for Grad school and everyone thought I was a domestic student lol

    Thank you very much for these very instructive videos! I really need first to win my laziness and invest more time and concentration in learning and memorizing. For sure your method of keeping things fun and engaging helps winning against a natural tendency to be too passive and not effective. One thing one could do (and I should do it as well) is to turn our phones and laptops language into Korean, including navigator and so forth. This can be a Hell at first, but I believe it can be very useful on the long run. Thanks again and congrats for the very high quality of your channel!

    • @paolotormene2576
      @paolotormene2576 Год назад

      @Study Korean Together A few days ago I switcher my phone's navigator to Korean, feeling quite confident that it wouldn't have been so complicated because I could simply follow the map in case I couldn't understand the voice instructions. I was too optimistic. I suddenly needed to choose an alternate path and to set up some constraints like avoiding highways... and I was totally lost. It's now back to Italian, but I am going to dare retrying soon 🙂

    Hi 문소현, On the suggestion of making mistakes when using the wrong words and then asking for ideas of future content gave me an idea that can help not only English learning Korean but the other way around in the same setting. A new word for me I had to deeply explain with my native speaking friend came out to be 상호보완한다, which has more precision than the word 'complement', and used in the context of how different English and Korean are from each other. Just trying to commutate this idea with him was difficult because I just translated "complement" directly and it didn't make sense to him when I said "the languages complement each other". With this in mind, it would be neat to have a "We don't say this, we say this" kind of video on vague English expressions or words that are said differently than what we expected if we translated them literally. Perhaps we can have a place that we can put down some of these. I have spotted some of these right away when watching Kdramas with English subtitles, and I'm willing to bet many people who have advanced on this learning journey can think of other words or sayings that have caught them by surprise as well.

    Although Takeshima was definitely recognized as a Japanese territory by the San Francisco Treaty in 1951, South Korean President Syngman Rhee subsequently drew a line called the Syngman Rhee Line. He also occupied Takeshima militarily and killed the Japanese indiscriminately. This is definitely not forgiven. In addition, Japan refused all three times even though Japan applied for an international trial to South Korea three times to solve the Takeshima issue.

    • @Unknown-un5pu
      @Unknown-un5pu Год назад

      Dokdo was a Korean territory before Korea was annexed by Japan in 1905. There are many historical records about it. And the San Francisco Treaty does not clearly recognize Dokdo as either Japanese or Korean territory. There was a fight because Japan tried to invade Dokdo again after losing the war. However, from the perspective of Koreans, they defended their territory. As for killing people, there were many people who died when Japan ruled Korea, what do you think about it? Shall we talk about what happened? And since Dokdo is Korean territory, why should Korea accept international trials? The Korean government's position is that if the trial is held, Korea is much more likely to win by historical records, but it is beneficial not to accept the trial because the Japanese are working at the high level of international trials, Japan's lobbying, and its influence is greater. Likewise, Japan has not responded to an international trial of the Sengaku Islands, which China and Taiwan historically claim to be their territory. Isn't that the same reason? And Japan also has a territorial dispute with Russia. Japan is the only country in East Asia that has territorial disputes with three countries. And guys, there is a lot of information on the Internet. Please do not just believe in the words of the Japanese right wing, and at the same time compare it with the claims of other countries based on historical records and evidence, and analyze them in a serious and conscientious way to get closer to the truth. You will learn many new facts, including attempts to distort the history of the Japanese right wing.
