You take such great care of all of your things, so I would encourage you to keep all of the silver stuff you love and if it overflows from that cabinet, you can get a slightly larger one or even another decorative element to display them. I’m all about pairing down and keeping what is truly useful, but you love that stuff and use it. I love seeing your collection:)

You can always take your large candlesticks and put them ontop of the buffette to cary the silver look to the top and that way you can enjoy it instead of laying it down in your buffette.

That white sideboard could be inexpensively raised by a welder creating a frame and/or mimicking the door pattern which is a petennial classic. Blessings.
Those silver platters, trays - use for spare room or cloakroom or self luxury as arrangement holders of soaps, bath treats, nuts, rolled hand towels, fruit, Easter eggs etc etc.

It opens up the room and makes it look bigger I think . And more stylish . Our dinning rooms aren’t that big 12x 12 I think 🤔 not sure ? . But I feel long drapes just take over the small room to much . So we shall see how it comes out with the cafe style . Then redoing the china cabinet .
