Hey, so I own a rolled ice cream shop of my own and we use sodt serve mix. Whoch is what the majority uses, though I obviously don't know what he uses. But it's a soft serve powder mix with water.

Hi Emily. I just bought a home unit to try. I've never rolled ice cream before. Do you buy the pre-mix because it tastes better or easier to work with? I keep seeing recipes calling for heavy cream and sweetened condensed milk for the base. @@emilystrohl65

You can order it as a powder from some companies or make it yourself with condensed milk and heavy whipping cream mixing some of each together making the base
