    About the Mod:
    MK1212 Campaign Open Alpha:
It's been over 5 years in the making across 2 games, but the Medieval Kingdoms 1212 campaign is finally available to all! Our Open Alpha phase starts today. The campaign as it stands is obviously in an incomplete state, missing technologies, naval units, and mercenaries, though we have plans to add much content in the near future. It currently includes 57 playable factions and various scripted mechanics, such as population and a pope system. The campaign release is also accompanied by a great deal of new content in the form of new factions and units, as well as revamped rosters for preexisting factions.
    Campaign Features:
    57 playable campaign factions.
    Completely custom building chains.
Single region provinces, where every region on the map has 6 slots.
Over 4,000 beautifully modeled and period-accurate units (
    Optional music mod.
Optional UI sound effect replacement mod
Three Tier Unit Upgrade System based on the three centuries this mod covers (13th, 14th, and 15th Century)
10 Building Slots per Settlement: No longer your cities be limited to 6 or 4 buildings.

Would be cool to one day see a Mongol campaign where the goal is to burn the entire map as a horde 😅

My favorite playthrough was Byzantine Empire in MedII. Was taking rebel forts and slowly building up my forces to attack the Turks. All of the sudden one of my islands is attacked by Venice. They are in a large alliance which eventually has us at war with Milan, The Papal States, and HRE all at once. For the vast majority of the playthrough I had to conquer Europe. Eventually rebuilding the Roman Empire. Gained an alliance with a very strong England and helped Spain retake everything as well. Then I set my sights finally on the muslim world. By the time I did, the Mongols had taken control of basically everything. After them came the Timiruds who were even harder to defeat. Then, as expected eventually, England betrayed me. As of right now it's basically a stalemate, but I'm hoping to kick them off of mainland Europe and free France from their control.

Hello friend. good game, and good battles too. just a few small suggestions if I may: first: about the crusade: if you want: you can easily take the city of Cairo: just forget about the other coastal cities, do not join the crusade right now, then make your army follow the Nile river, then disembark near Cairo, and attack Cairo in the same moment you join the crusade, and that's it: one turn to consruct siege equipments (battering rams or ladders or siege towers), and next turn: you assault and capture Cairo. after Cairo: you can continue the second phase of the crusade: the AI will give you 20 additional turns to capture the city of Jerusalem, and of course you don't need to keep Cairo: you can simply dismantle every building in Cairo to level 0 and profit from the money from the dismantling, and then you can abandon Cairo to be a desolate city or just leave it for the rebels that will emerge, and of course after you capture Cairo: you can immediately go for Jerusalem: you don't need to capture any other cities, consolidate Jerusalem, and wait for the Ayyubids to be weaken by rebels and prepare for another round with them later. second: about your allies: Antioch: I think the better approach is to give them no city and let them expand on their own for many reasons of course: you are expanding in muslim territory: converting their cities to your culture and religion will be a challenge to you let alone to Antioch, and you already noticed in your Teutonic campaign that whenever you offer a muslim city to the Byzantines: they lose it immediately, so the better choice is to let Antioch expand slowly on their own, and take let them their time consolidating their gains: it will be interesting to see how far they can go on their own, and of course you keep every city that you capture so you can increase your imperium and increase how many armies that you can recruit, and to gain more money and land and resources. and finally, good luck.

Might be cool if you did a campaign as the Ghurid Sultanate once this one is done. They have a good cavalry and elephant units.

Recruit troops is not necessary when u play as Jerusalem because when the crusades starts you only have to send the army on the crusade and you will be abble to recruit any kind of units you want for free

Could you try to challenge yourself to not build the exact same things in each city? Even potentially to have some imbalances like squalor to have some "greedy" areas?

    • @Rampaned
      @Rampaned  4 дня назад

I kind of did that in my teutonic campaign but the build system of Attila doesn't really mesh with that playstyle as much.
