- Melusine is a legendary figure in European mythology, a beautiful woman cursed to transform into a mermaid-like creature. Despite the curse, she fell in love and married under the condition of weekly privacy so her husband would not discover her curse, but her secret was eventually revealed, leading to her tragic departure.

And according to Philippa Gregory, Melusine is the ancestress of King Edward IV's wife, Elizabeth Woodville, a great grandmother of Elizabeth I.
Thank you! I was just going to say the exact same thing! ❤❤❤😊
Not just Philippa Gregory. In fact, as Elizabeth Woodville has descendants now, Melusine is the ancestress of the British royal family. 😉

What a brutal story, Blessed be.
Yeesh…Neuvilette’s gonna be mega shocked 🦦
Poor Melusine.😢
0:00 Really so this is beautiful woman Melusine. It looks like Mermaid, snake and wings too.
0:31 She met nobleman Raymond fall in love.
0:57 A man tell him there is something about her.
1:07😨 Raymond see his wife by a keyhole.
1:21 😭 Wow Melusine was crying when he realized he saw her true colors and called her a snake had broken his promise.
1:37 She just flew away like dragon like being and abandon Raymond.
😥 Now that was very sad story of Melusine The Mysterious French Mermaid. She shouldn't do that with terrible bad feeling a man who fall in love you. They need to keep it secret.
Good Story about Her, Now i know more Melusine in FGO.
Melusine : 🇲🇫 France medieval night castle female spirit mermaid woman body dragon wing torso-half serpent fish two tail bathing disturb wife promise betrayed and husband not disturb open
Except that the FGO Melusine is the reincarnation/reborn form of the Dragon of Albion.
1:19 she was looking more beautiful and sexy than in her human form 😂😂😂
Nice job, first time I've heard this version but I liked it.
I think this type of mermaid, like (MELUSINE) should be added, in cartoon shows, and in fantasy movies.
Neuvilette :- According to the judgement of the, "Oratrice Mechanique d'Analyse Cardinale."
That Mysterious French Mermaid🧜♀️ is so fascinating & ❤🤍💙 all your videos mate👍
Snake, dragon, where’s the fish part? I read she’s sometimes portrayed like a traditional mermaid but with two tails
she is not a mermaid but a fairy who is close to a dragon of the pits. is the husband's brother who, through jealousy of the husband's success, pushes him to break his oath, he opens the door, she runs away, but he still wants to keep her (in vain) in the end he banishes his brothers in him blame him for having made him lose his beloved wife.
and they meet her, she treats him after finding him seriously injured
@@gwenmushishi6385 some legends portray her with two fish tails instead of dragon tails
In Portugal, this very similar tale is registered, going so far as to be part of the origin stories of an ancient noble house, in the XIst century, later penned in the XIIIrd century's "Livro Velho das Linhagens", about noble lineages.
Here, she went by the name of "Dama de Pé de Cabra" (Goat-foot Lady). Also called "Dona Marinha" (Sea Lady).
*The secular West’s double standards are glaringly evident from how they deal with “irrationality”. When this so-called irrationality is linked with religion it’s a problem. However, when it comes to things like “gender fluidity” it’s completely fine. Another example that can be mentioned is how the “clairvoyant” Edgar Cayce was extremely popular during the early 20th-century.*
And it’s the same story when it comes to aliens. The secular West, unable to fight its innate tendency to believe in the ghayb, proposes the likely existence of a non-human species that could communicate with our world - the same way Muslims believe in the jinn
Of course, all of this is done in the name of their own religion: science. They even have their own priests in the form of astrobiologists, etc.
This belief of theirs is of the same nature as ours. Even if they try and add some pseudo-empiricist spice: there may be tangible elements pointing towards the existence of aliens They fail to grasp how we, too, say there are “tangible elements” regarding the influences of the jinn within our world.*

There are similarities to the story of Eros and Cupid as well.
Good story! I knew it as her lower half was a dragon
When he saw her the curse turned her fully into a dragon and flew away
So sad

See u in history always didn't disappoint us on every video they make 🔥
Grr, I love ur job sm. ❤
BTW could u please make a video about Slavic Goddes Lada? I'd love 2 c what u guys have to tell about her.
In childhood i was reading about her in a book Everything about fairies and magic
This story is just tragic in my opinion. First of being cursed to be turned into such creature every Saturday by your my just because you've "retaliated" against your father, then falling in love with a noble man and even giving birth to several children, only to then have your condition being the topic of gossip and thus being exposed like that and you have to leave everyone you love behind, restricting yourself with just watching your children and their children grow from afar. Melusine really didn't deserve this at all.
Neat story. Kinda odd how the curse gave her wings after the betrayal. I'm sure it's symbolic but free wings!
I mean he promised not to come into her room. He said nothing about standing outside her room and looking through the keyhole.
This is probably a dumb question, but is the narrator an AI or are they just really good at controlling their voice? Either way I love the channel, I was just curious.
Melusine myth reminds me of the legend of Toba Lake in Indonesia
That's sad
I thought it's "Manananggal" 😂
Snake Mermaid Like Wife with Wings
So that explains the Melusines of Fontaine on their relation to the dragon and their preference of water. 🤔🤔
She is the ancestor of the Woodville family
1:37 : Dang dude! You made a promise.
I remember reading an old Chinese story that was similar to this, a woman with bird legs who's partner saw her washing which blew her chance to be human.
Melusines are beautiful creatures-
Good video 👍🏻
Basicamente a história de qualquer casal..
Tuvo que haberla aceptado como ella era así
This is for the genshin impact gamers.😂😂😂
True. 😅 Genshin player here. 😊
It’s like a mermaid serpent
So the king of Jerusalem was the descendant of a fairy? Interesting.
Top tier Gwent card
I heard another ending she taken her daughter's to the river as they had her gift and left the son's with their father as they remained human. And she never turned into a dragon and flew away I've never heard that before. And She was a fresh water mermaid only that i know of 🧜♀️ 😊💙
As a descendant of some members of the De Lusignan family (it's not that rare, you likely do too), Like Guy De Lusignan... Can confirm that Melusine watches over me from time to time, keeping me safe.
Melusine è una sirena 🧜🏻♀️ gentile
Excellent video my friend 👍 and here is another story that may interest you for a future video: the story of Lạc Long Quân and Âu Cơ, a beautiful love story between a dragon and a fairy that is also a creation myth in Vietnamese Mythology, what do you think?
Just your brief description makes me want to hear it.
The Fairy Melusina or Melusine, from Fairy, transforms into a Mermaid with Dragon Wings and half a Serpent from the waist down..🧚🏻♀🧜🏻♀🐍🐲

FGO gang?
Except the fairy is the reincarnation and reborn form of the legendary dragon of Albion
