I know big seasoned actors like to criticize Marvel movies for being just "superhero" movies, but I can appreciate Ethan Hawke he put his money where his mouth is. He was a critic of the genre, and still took this job cause he knows he can put his own spin on it.
Ethan Hawke is one of the best actors still working might be the most underrated actor the last 25 years.
Ethan Hawke and Oscar Issacs were both considered for the role of Dr Stephen Strange in Doctor Strange (2016) before Benedict Cumberbatch was cast.

Honestly these are major spoilers. I enjoyed that I didn't know about the identity disorder and thought Steven was the main one and something mysterious is stealing his body. And then got to that conclusion eventually.

I guess here he just didn't go in detail of that first meeting. In the interview i heard, he said at first, Ethan didn't understand who it was because of the mask, but then he realised it was Oscar (he didn't say how).
That was good.
The first episode freaked me out a little, reminded me of my "schizophrenic" father...I will try to finish watching it.

We love you Ethan, but there was already a series that dealt with mental illness involving identity-- Dan Steven's Legion-- which is also a Marvel story. if you watched Legion and then Moon Knight you can clearly see how the latter was inspired by the former. Legion was a very groundbreaking series, very cool show but I can understand why its not quite for the masses. Moon Knight made stories like that easier to digest compared to when Legion was blazing the initial trail.
