Hello, I have a 96 Estima Lucida 2.2 diesel. Im not sure if you know any common problems with these, but I have a small oil leak. Couple of drops after every time it drives. Do you know of anything it could be, theres oil everywhere at the bottom of the engine.
First thing you need to do is clean the oil away. I know you can't remove a lot without scrubbing but do the best you can. Oil can travel and leading you to think the leak is where it isn't. Most common leaks will come from the front or rear main seals or a bad gasket however a lose sump plug or a crack in a hose can happen as well. I have not owned of worked on a Lucida 2.2 diesel but a leak is a leak whatever the engine is. Finding the problem is the first step. After you have done the best you can with cleaning under the van and the water has dried up, look for the leak again. Put a Paper Towel on the oil. If you see red it's Auto transmission or power steering / Brown it's Engine, Manual Gearbox or differential. Once you identify the oil or fluid then what part of the van is the leak. Under the front, near the front, middle or rear. Then try to look and follow the wet oil to where it becomes try and you will have found the problem. I do have a lot of info about Lucida 2.2 diesel on my computer. If you need something just ask and I will upload it. I hope that helps.
