Even though the guy had a green light, if the intersection isn’t clear you don’t just go! That’s a good way to get hit by someone running a red light - which does happen. I always look both ways in intersections even if my light is green 😊
Right, graveyards are full of people who had the green light or right of way
i kept saying that "Righteousness is no guarantee of safety" espeically as a rider, defensive riding is a must
"Boomer almost goes down."

I bet these guys tell best campfire stories
Thank you for this channel. No one around me really gets it. They all say I'm morbid for watching crashes. But I firmly believe that it helps avoid making the same mistakes.
It really helps, when you watch enough dashcam channels, you really get a feel for which sort of idiocy is most common and you figure out how to avoid them or at least see them coming and move away.
7:22 - What you said here made me think of an idea: make the RESQ card into a sticker/decal (or some sort of other wearable) that someone can put on their helmet/body in case someone finds them and doesn't know what to do. I get the idea from a fallen rider in another crash compilation. The motorcyclist who went down had a sticker on the side of his helmet that read: "In case of a crash, do not remove helmet." I thought it was really interesting, and helpful to those who want to help but don't know what to do.
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for your content. I've been riding for decades, used to teach MSF (beginner-advanced), and up until fairly recently never bothered to really gear up properly. I was the standard HD rider wearing a little as possible. But between getting older, watching the horror shows you bring to us every week, and more Prius drivers on the road I've changed all that. Now I'm head to toe armor. Decided paying the extra $$$ upfront for armored jacket jeans and boots was a good investment. Also, ditched the peanut and back in a full face.
It may be geeky but I'm gonna keep my flesh on my bones.
what's geeky about it? the full face and full armor(whatever style that may be) looks cool, even my coworkers have given me compliments on it. Besides; your well being is more important than trying not to look geeky.
Ride safe!
@@RH-to8dhIkr gear looks even cooler
Excellent decision. I went to the "corner" on my Vespa, made a wide right turn, down I went at maybe 10mph, messed up my ankle really bad. The pavement doesn't care what you ride. I'm now a power ranger 100% of the time.
I love my gear. When it’s on, I’m in business. The business of safely operating a motorcycle.
I think most people think guys wearing no helmet and no gear look geeky/dumb. Gear looks cool.
I'm not this early even for my uni classes, but here am I 😅
Will a uni class save your life? Maybe I guess lol

I've been watching these before I even have my basic training just to get good tips to, well, not die. Can i just say the best thing is you fast forwarding the bullshit of futile arguments and rage between everyone. I love your attitude and it's how i am with driving a car so hopefully i'll be the same driving a bike too
7:54 - LMAO the guy is clearly following the image in the Q section. Looks like he is doing exactly what it says haha
If you ever get rear ended, get yourself checked out. I ended up needing surgery as it pushed my spine discs into nerves. Resulted in a discectomy. Horrible nerve pain, and they are stingy on oxys
Stingy on the pain meds because of the opiod junkies who won big bucks.
Man I’m sorry that happened. How are you recovering?
@@BrandonWest87 After surgery, when the weather changes, the back acts up. I pop a Tylenol or something stronger. But no daily pain pills which is great
@@1angryscotsman Glad to hear that! It could have been worse brother. Ride safe out there.
First clip. That bike is a wright off. Uk insurers will wright off a vehicle just for a small dent so they can pay bottom book value, have your vehicle repaired on the cheap for resale and then up your premiums regardless of whos fault it is. It's literally legal robbery.
The first dude got lucky as hell that that car knocked his bike out from under him without actually touching him. One second he's on the bike, the next he's still in the same spot but the bike is gone.
From watching Dan Dan I'm second hand learning how to maneuver a bike. In the 9:58 one, my first thought was to accelerate to avoid the hit. Shows how much Dan repeating the information so much is such a great learning tool. By the time I learn to ride a bike for real I will have maneuvering down to an instinct haha
Hey Dan, I saw you mention in another video to lightly swerve or sway side to side to get your headlight modulating and get the attention of other drivers. Do you feel that toggling between high and low beams could accomplish the same effect?
I will flash my high beams a few times if I think the driver doesn’t see me during low light conditions (such as overcast or rainy days)
Dan Dan, Did you see the video out of Portland, Oregon of the Motorcycle Office, that impacted a left turning car. He had a red light. It is a good example of your point in this video.
9:40 "This is why everybody hates cyclist". Says the guy who couldn't wait a literal extra second so that people crossing the intersection can just finish it, and then went from 0 to 80 in a 45 in the middle of a city street.
Yeah, this is actually why people hate motorcyclist: They think we are all adrenaline-junkies entitled, enraged manchildren like this guy who cannot believe that people won't let them use the public roads as his personal race track.
(Also, what an American coded video. YOU hate cyclist. Most of us on other places are cyclist every now and then)
he is one of the very reason give us rider a bad name
So many people in your videos should not be allowed to drive motorcycles. No wonder we have such a terrible reputation.
Or have a car licence!
Regular retesting needs to be compulsory, just like any other licensed practitioner needs to doprofessional development training
My comment to help the algorithm.❤ the live stream was fun as always. Have a great week everyone.
On 5:06, when the rider enters the intersection, the light is green, but when the rider turns, the light is also green for the other cars that are coming across. How does that work?
Doesn’t look like to be a green arrow. So they would have to yield
8:47 that dude was listening to Cypress hill and cock the hammer. Great song.
9:54 Clermont-Ferrand - Fontaine Desaix 😲 🤣
It's been a while since I've rode a motorcycle 🏍️ Even I know too Enjoy the Ride! Along with Caution to ALL Others 🛻🚖🚙🚲🚌🏍️🚜🛴 ALL of Them. Ware full gear! When you least expect that's when It gets you! Even going from House to Grocery store few blocks away. ""RIDE SAFE🏍️!""
11:35 Right hand stays on the handle unless I'm parked.
10.12 you are also positioned IN the junction with vehicles coming from several different directions!
Looked like he stopped in front of the car too. If he just kept going he would have been fine.
I wonder if when all cars are self driving, how many fewer motorcycle crashes there will be, or if it will just make more riders complacent.
As most motorcycle crashes are the fault of the rider it won't make a huge difference

What country/territory is that at 6:48? Left hand traffic, tropical and signs in English. I'm confused.
Australia? New Zealand maybe.
All those idiot standing around staring at 8:40, I bet none of them has called 911 yet.
The rider in the second clip was lucky there was nothing coming from behind on his left - riding with no mirrors puts you at unnecessary risk.
It freezes my blood to see so many rear ended bikers at red lights....
You have to treat everyone on the road like idiots.
At 13:00 a couple of Pretend-a-Cops decide to bawl each other out for driving in ways they don't like. Sad. Stupid. And hilarious! Thanks for sharing video proof there is no IQ test needed to get a driver license.
9:09 The ones shaking their heads are also the ones not wearing any protective gear except for a helmet. 🙄
Anything Could Happen
Two-wheel rides in the countryside
That's freedom up against the wind
Enjoying time with friends of mine
We've done it over and over again
I know anything could happen
When we're out there on the road
Just ride for fun and respect everyone
To make it safe back at home
It's a different scene out in the streets
When traffic becomes competition
Could be speed or a greedy need
When everybody wants their own position
Even alone on a straight country road
We always have to pay attention
Just a matter of fact things can go bad
And we could lose our anorectal retention
Expecting anything could happen
Hope to be geared out myself
Not just wearing a leather jacket
With someone else around to help
But if I don't make it back some time
Hope it isn't by my own mistakes

Dude in the roundabout has no business riding a bike. People are not going to see all day when riding. Pretend you are invisible, because you are.
9:24 anyone can carry "a badge"...
8:50 you can clearly see fuel spillage on the ground, boomer has nothing to do with it
Am I the only one who rushes to pick their bike back up? 😲😂
The idiot in the white van was at fault. Vehicles on a Rotary have the Right-of-Way ! Also the guy on the bike was immediate left ! How could he not see him ?-?
10:26 how did that not work? He held his hand out to show the car he was there. It should have worked.
7:03 Family Guy moment
Uh no, that bike will have very different damage after getting hit from the rear.
I watch as many of your videos as I can. One thing you never mention is the majority of these accidents and incidents could be avoided if the riders would stop speeding and weaving in and out of traffic at over 100 mph. On a motorcycle you already have a small cross section of visibility to others. They check their mirrors see you're a ways back there so they change lanes, what they didn't know is you were doing 100, 115, 120 mph. By the time they change lanes you have already closed the gap to be right on top of them. Then you say it's their fault and blame them for everything after you were being a fool.
He mentions this multiple times damn near every video. He always says don’t speed.
first crash is a motorbike like mine
No it’s not
@@osiris654 Zontes ZT 125 U1.
Oh yes it is.
Except mine has not been hit from behind yet (knock on wood).
That happening is actually one of mygreatest fears when riding.
Im not a motorcyclist, but ive been doing urban cycling for 20+years. Theres a lot of things that are transposable from one to another and A LOT of these videos, the riders are pretty bad drivers. Youre on a speed machine and super vulnerable and theyre super arrogant, overconfident and not wearing gear like wtf??
I watch almost all of your videos and like them a lot. After so many videos watched, your resq pack and drill booklet promotions and discounts become a lot intrusive during the video. I understand that new subscribers would find it useful but in my case it's making me annoyed and ultimately avoiding to watch more videos. As a suggestion, put your discounts and promotions as a text (not as intrusive). Best regards.
"why people don't like cyclists" yeah what about mob rides that do the same thing only way worse, holding traffic that has the green while 50 more motorcycles go through the red. Or as we see in EVERY one of these videos, people who keep turning left in cars way after the light goes red for them.
Stop with the "click bait" BS, we watch because it's educational and helpful especially as you don't actually address the title!
Keep up the good work Dan
The whole US left/right-turning thing BAFFLES me, why would i get a green light if i can encounter crossing traffic? Speed limits don't match the potential of danger and reaction times needed for those situations.
I disagree. Right turns after a full stop are very safe and it helps to keep the traffic flowing. And in Europe similar principles are being applied: For example, the static "green arrow" in Germany. And in most European countries, you have to give way for oncoming traffic when turning left (or right in GB), even with a green light.
Dan, as an African.... I would like to make one thing clear to others that it seems have a bit of an ego problem..... You have free choice, if you choose to go fast because you feel like it, then, DO NOT GET PISSED, when a car turns out in front of you while you are at speed. Think of what the driver of that cars perspective is..... YOU ARE TINY in that side view mirror..... The chances of them seeing you is VERY little,. Oh, but I have my headlight on.... Really? And how many OTHER REFLECTIONS do you think that person is having to try and differentiate your headlight from??? Stop being one minded and self absorbed..... You on a motor bike have WAY less protection...... YOU will get hurt, YOU need to think for others on the road, How many times does it need to be said that you are a very small object in the bigger picture, and, the chances of you bing seen when traffic is busy is GREATLY reduced.... We as bike riders need to start taking responsibility for our OWN DAMNED ACTIONS AND CHOICES, and we need to stop blaming other people when shit goes south because of our idiotic choices...... Sorry but I have to get this off my chest..... The arrogance of some riders just gets on my last nerve....... I have been riding for long enough to know what arrogance is and how quickly you WILL be taught a lesson in being humble..... You are not superman on your two wheels, more like a crash cart waiting to be wheeled..... Think of that next time you get on your bike and want to speed....... Being near death with a crash cart keeping you alive, will give you a new perspective.....
I'm confused if you're talking to Dan or MotorStars, as Dan always recommends not speeding and doesn't have much of an ego. So I'm not sure who you're 'yelling' at.
You obviously did not read the beginig of my comment, or did you? The answer lies therein.
