I like to think Chris Hansen only said that it's a sad thing to be politically correct. The entire show was canceled due to a perversion of political correctness. Chris Hansen's just trying to appease everybody by saying that. I imagine it was not a pretty sight and that yes it was dark, but I don't feel sad at all.

Other than her mourning her brother, she able to sue on technicality because Conrad got to his senses of cutting off the online chat and backed out by not showing up at the sting house. His sister sued NBC calling them "judge, jury and executioner" but it wasn't Chris holding the gun.
Plus, even if NBC wasn't there I'm fairly certain that SWAT still would've showed up since the suspect barricaded himself in his house.

If Chris wasn’t there they would have waited to arrest him when he went into work on Monday. They arrested him on the weekend when he was at home because TCAP was going to leave town before Monday and they wanted to film the prosecutor getting arrested because it would be good TV. It would have been smarter to arrest him at work where he didn’t have access to a gun. It was TCAP that pressured the police into going to his house. Chris claims that he had no control over where the arrest took place, which isn’t true.

The police and SWAT team didn't want to show up at the house. They knew he had guns in his house and things could get messy. They wanted to arrest him at work. NBC forced the police and SWAT team to do the raid on his house because they wanted to put it on TV.
Thats a reason to keep the show going, more need to follow!!

And while those guys still showed up, it just goes to show that Chris made these guys aware that if they mess around with kids online, they better think twice. I assume that a bunch of them thought the stings were over because of how NBC shut it down. Maybe it's tasteless to laugh as much as we do, but it's helping a lot more than it's hurting.

You guys don't do it thankfully but I always hate how media always portrays Chris in this story as if he doesn’t care and that it's a good thing.
He outright says he feels bad for the sister and that while the guy did some heinous crimes he didn’t deserve death for it.
Just that Chris isn’t crying a river over it because we have no way of knowing how guilty he felt, if he did at all, for his crimes and when faced with the possibility of punishment for his own actions he made his choice.
Ultimately we can only hope his victims will be able to forgive him in death and that he improves as a person in his next life or whatever afterlife he ends up in.
