Great video thank you, what can you think the problem may be with having a burning sensation down the forearm and not actually being able to put the palm of my hand down, or it appears that way, I don't have an ashtanga teacher nearby so having to practice and work out things on my own,. really appreciate your answer x
Hello, I have a question. I have little problems with my wrists when I do this posture it hurts (I guess it is from climbing). I think maybe I do this posture in a wrong way because it shouldn't hurt right? Could you please tell me how should I do it to protect my wrists? Or should I just skip this posture? Thank you!
You can cross them both ways..there are different schools and none of them are wrong in this case. different crossing has different benefit. I like to change cross from time to time. Yoga Mala book says "place one foot over the other" where on the picture Sharath has right foot over the left. I was studying with another teacher in Mysore who learnt directly from T. Krishnamacharya and he said "left over the right"... we even step to the left instead of right to protect the heart.... avoid thinking that there is only one Ashtanga Yoga way :) People get strong feeling that their practice is true if they think that their way is the only way or the best way. Experiment, try different teachers, have your mind open. Om Shanti.
@@ambapidada7286 I did that in a mysore class and fell into the wall.. it was pretty funny to be honest. I burst out laughing. The practice teaches us in many ways to always be humble.
I really like this video, because you see that they’re still working on it..
Great tip to working on it as I found it is so difficult to maintain my strength after touching my chin on the floor, thanks Stu!
Thanks so much for this. I am stopping at this pose in primary and have been here a while. It's tough! I have a wrist issue which doesn't help.
After 5 navasanas a faceplant in this pose is guaranteed, as a little thank you for practicing Ashtanga.
Fantastic lesson! Thank you so much!
