    I have a question that while finding Global Mass Stiffness Matrix, How come the M matrix has elements of 8,4,0 4,10,1 0,1,2? I am adding them like linear addition.

    Sir..they have give sp.weight. that has to be converted into density so (8500/9.81) = density

      As I referred two text book, actually the density = Sp.wt/9.81, Some text book given the solution, And Some of them are taken specific weight= Density..I think the best solution is to go with the first option..Now choice is yours

      It will be same for all the bar related problems under static conditions, if in case the bar subjected to variables loads then why have to go with Mass matrix equation.
