You did great, there is no shame to be nervous or not feeling 100%, at least you tried, did your best, but if you don't feel OK well try another time, your bike is heavy loaded so it is more challenging that riding an unloaded enduro bike. Keep it safe and just have fun.
Don't beat yourself up bro...if you're not ''feelin'' it either physically or mentally or both, then best to bail out...two completely different mindsets when riding with others or solo.....love the content....honest and true to yourself....ride safe mate and look forward to part 2...
It is smart to stop for a break and get your head in the right place before continuing. When people keep going when they don't feel right about, it often becomes a self fulling prophecy and they have an accident. Usually, it is only because they were too tense at that point and lost focus, etc. Clearly you survived, or Marion would not have posted this. Hahaha.
I think what you were experiencing is a compounding set of circumstances that eventually got to you. The rising heat index is the biggest factor leading to fatigue for most riders, including myself. It affects your ability to focus, which is critical on a bike. Also, it appears your bike is heavily laden, and that coupled with slow technical terrain is very physically taxing. And last but not least, having to provide commentary while filming is just another diversion of your already strained focus. Dehydration is also a sneaky danger, so good call on tapping out. Never apologize for making the smart call.
You have no reason to worry about people possibly judging you. You actually have the courage to live many people's dream, even if it is sometimes by the seat of your pants! Being safe is a sign of maturity :) It is though about finding the balance between challenging yourself through difficult pieces, but also having roads that are just sheer joy to ride. Technically you are way better than before, but this time you just let the head stuff throw you out, probably back into a bit of flashback PTSD.
Really Impressive! Being open and honest about our feelings, particularlty fear is one of the bravest things we can do 👍💪...and just a thought; electrolytes might help the nervousness - personally, as a help recovering from ptsd (and also after drinking coffee ), I take a calcium/potassium supplement (important for a healthy nervous system) and get loads of plant fibre into my gut. Then there is the balance of wu wei with determination...🤔🕊🀄🙏😊
I was so pleased to hear you work through a mental and physical scenario and in my opinion make the smart decision. There's a big difference traveling through challenging trails with someone and going by yourself. I believe you call today's decision, wisdom 🎉 Younger people haven't enough experience to call upon wisdom. Stay warm and safe Kenneth 🎉🎉
Good effort, Beanster. Experience teaches. Now you know what could happen and make safe, sensible decisions. Enjoy your progress. It's good stuff. Looking forward to seeing Athens from your perspective. Ride safe, happy travels 👍
The TET Greece can be really difficult...I've just done a short part of the Section along the Albanian Border 2 weeks ago and had to exit after 10km (and ~3hrs) because it was almost impossible to ride with my 990 ADV(had proper Knobbies on the bike btw !). On 2 spots the "road" was more or less gone and just a small path of like 30-40cm was still there.
@RidetheBean It was more tricky for sure. I also saw some motorcycle tracks, that was why I continued at first...but those tracks were probably from some 250cc dirtbikes from the locals.😅
Cmon man youre not pussy or negative thinking.Others in your position would never ride again.I find you very brave, but everybody has "these" days!!!Keep on!!
What happened to you was shocking thats a fact! On the tet you dont know whats ahead so your brain is maybe thinking of your accident and causing you to be nervous. Which is making you more safe! Its like the nervous energy before say your motorbike test...hard to shake. Its gonna take time I think. And I think I'd be the same. Many people after a bad accident find it hard to even get back in the saddle so you're on the way! P.s Am just about to start my adv riding. I'd love to do the tet one day. But yeah think you need less stuff....
Dude, tiny little puddle, you're riding a 74 horsepower bike, man up! WTF! I've seen nothing with that bike going forward, as I have that bike and I've ridden roads much worse than that, so WTF the problem?? I think you need to take some Rider training classes or something!
Hehe yeah I do. I am not an experienced rider. Everyone has their things that they are good at and not. I know it didn’t look that bad on camera, but it was deeper and muddier than what I am comfortable with. But the more I do this the better it’ll get hopefully.
Way less talky--talky, and a lot more concentration and then a comment-- way less gibberish please--and more editing, or you're going to lose me & others. I don't need your personal psycho-analysis--thank you-- I'm interested in your scenic travels and observations.
Sorry to hear that… this journey for me is therapy. Ok this channel I’ve always been honest about myself and how I am doing. When I feel crappy I try to talk myself into a better state of mind. Sorry if that is annoying to hear. But it helps me get through. And some people appreciate the honesty. Can’t win everyone every time unfortunately 🙂
Takk!

Great job
Never have to apologize, Safety first my friend. Safe Travels

You are doing great. Enjoy your ride. I am enjoying your adventure. Ride safe
Thank you 😊

Do things on your own pace. Don't feel bad about that.

Hehe yeah I don’t know why I suddenly start to feel nervous… it’s ridiculous… 🙈

As the rules of the mountains state inside the Kvikk Lunsj wrapper, there is no shame in turning back

Hehe thank you 😅 I felt disappointed in myself
I once boarded a Trans Euro Train by mistake. What a ride that was
😂 that sounds like an adventure
Thanks 😅 didn’t notice the mistake 🤦🏼♂️
Great show again Kenneth, thanks so much for showing this part of Greece.
Glad you liked it 😊
Good effort, Beanster.

Hehe thank you 😊
I feel like a wimp when I back down like this 🙈
@@RidetheBean too hard on yourself, Kenneth. He who does not learn from history will repeat it.
You have learned.
👍😷

I like to see tet parts of my country !!!cheers man!!!
Hi/hej A big thanks for a great episode again :) What tent (name/size) are you using on this ride?
Thank you 😊
My tent is the Big Agnes Hotel 3 bike pack. It is a little bit big, but I spend so much time in it that I want some extra space 😛
The guy in the truck was asking the same question. What is this guy doing here?
😂 probably
big bikes like the ones we have are better done with at least two folk, to aid in picking the bloody things up
hehe yeah it would be easier to do difficult and risky tracks with some help 😅
Cmon man youre not pussy or negative thinking.Others in your position would never ride again.I find you very brave, but everybody has "these" days!!!Keep on!!
Hehe thank you 😊 yeah I guess… it just feels like I am useless on these days 😅

Smart move to abort mission when you're just not feeling it.
Hehe thanks. Felt like a failure though 🤦🏼♂️

You're absolutely right, I'm getting so tired of that bean whining too!
