How to lock iPhone touch screen for your baby l GMA

It doesn’t disable touch but disables shifting to another app. Locks you on a single app. So my kid can still touch and change the videos on RUclips.
Edit- once the guided access is enabled you again click on unlock password then it gives you Options to disable touch. Too complicated but figured it out. Thanks

For what it’s worth, this worked for me after I also turned on the ‘accessibility shortcut’ on that settings screen in the video and also, when entering the guided access mode after doing the three clicks the first two times, I had to click ‘options’ in the bottom left corner and unselect all the input options that were pre-selected (like ‘touchscreen’, etc.). The guided access mode also only works for me when I’m trying to enter it from within an app, like RUclips or Gmail. But, given all that, now it works for me and it solves my problem, so hope this helps another parent, too.

For those who say you can still change videos and go through the app....well when you push the button 3 times and you put in the passcode, click option and disable (touch) and then resume. The screen will be locked until you push the button again 3 times.

It’s locks on the app but you are still able to navigate through the app. There’s an option to circle the area that you’d like to disable but it’s becoming great. Any solution?

after clicking the home button 3 times ,you will get to the screen that says “options” and you have to take your finger and draw on the video screen the area of the video you want to be protected from touching. Just draw a giant oval with your finger. Now you can touch/ swipe etc in that oval and it won’t change out of the video.

This is utterly unhelpful for toddlers... They will still be able to mess up the videos by skipping, switching to a different video, pausing, etc. You made it seem like the be all end all, but it absolutely is useless. 🤷‍♂️

You need to disable the slider that says “touch” and then they can’t

When activating it, there will be a button in the bottom left corner that says options, click that and it will show what you want to allow during guided access. Turn off touch and volume/motions etc and it will be touch proof, not includin the triple click to turn it off
