- Echo and the Bunnymen at the International Centre, Toronto, Aug 23, 1984. Recorded for a CFNY-FM Radio live broadcast, with opening act Billy Bragg. Single camera on stage left.
Attended this concert with my brother and friends. After the concert, Ian McCulloch snuck up to our group outside in the parking lot. Ian's first words to us: "Nice sunglasses". (He was referring to the black sunglasses I was wearing, the same style as he was wearing on the record cover of Ballyhoo). Ian connected well to our group as most of us were die hard fans. Surreal time.

how big was this venue?
Enormous. Holds 5,000. It's a large hall at a convention centre. Expandable to 10,000. The Foo Fighters shot their "Anywhere but Here" dvd there 20 years later. Big square room with no atmosphere and terrible acoustics.

it was just a big empty room, as far as I can remember. Like we were all standing in an enormous garage with a stage at one end
