bancroft class of 2012 here lol sooo many good writers/crews came out of that school fr XOS, EU, BNW, FYF, LOD, IFK, AL, BR, etc just the ones i can remember rn SER & WISK are big legends🔥
SAGO, MIN, ROACHES, SKITO, SEZE, TEKAY, SEEN, CAP, CORN BREAD, GHOST, FIB, DC, DB 161, NIKE, SPIRO, TORO, SPESH, CHEZO, VEN, KET, SED, JA, and an ocean of other legendary writers were rockin' the train yards to sleep in 1985. This bombing duo reminds me so much of how I and 'teZ' used to get down. Cool interview.
Don’t know if you guys are familiar with skid row in the mid 80s I grew up with 2 homies that were killing skid row Big shout outs to HARD n VEE-RON BCCA crew
“ she asked me if I had any rtd jackets “ bro pulls one out immediately “well alright since we’re talking about rtd jackets” 😂😂 that was dope as fuck 😂
WISK" SER" 2 of America's Most Wanted! All City! That was without a doubt the best era of writing in LA! BEYOND CONTROL! Much love & respect to SKILL for bangin' out another dope ass show!
I remember seeing all of those tags on RTD….. Shout out to all of those guys. Also Cap, Snap, Chaka, OOCA, UCA, Reos, Chase great memories. Boogieboarding, tagging, Hiphop, reggae…..we lived that life… 😎🌴🌴 Shout out Hier One too……trip out.
Greetings from El Salvador.... ATR Family... these guys inspired us in the late 80's then we killed it on the buses, but they pumped up the wall bombing
I attended school with Wisk's daughter back in 06 at Fairfax High. She has red hair just like her pops. I had her for Arts and Craft class. Cool person.
Alski, Soon, Legit, GeoOne, Frost, Davism, Triax all were up in LOS ANGELES in 1984, but Alski was the first City King for sure. Did SER mention Alski at the 11 minute point?
I remember as a kid back in the day, Wisk's 'W" throw was everywhere. Especially on the westside of LA , it was literally up and down every block of every main street over there.
Ha! Ha! I got a pic from my 110 camera from 85 at Venice in front of the "Crazy" piece. Also when I got here to Chicago I learned Charlie Tuna was "Chicago 1000" I asked Ang 13 from early Chicago writing scene! I said I heard of you in graffiti from L.A. before Jurassic 5! He laughed and he used to poplock too you never know! Ser verifies my story they used to bomb down there in the Hollywood/ highland underground parking lot. I seen a piece in 84 "L.A.Bomb Squad." A dude that did a boy character in his book took me down there it blew me away. He was down with Zulu Nation. My dad used to be a bus driver on 217 line ha,! ha!
The respect that these cats had before they knew each other and clearly still have for each other is really dope to see💯🫡 New Kids these days could really take a few pointers on how to act💯
Another banger from the OG Skill. I was born and raised in the Fairfax District. Met Wisk several times and was amazed by his dedication to get up. I remember seeing his throw ups with numbers in them. I finally began to realize that those serial numbers were his count of how many times he got up. Writers boasted they were up, but this dude created immutable evidence of being all-city. Remember, these guys killed everything in sight. Great work as usual Skill. Perhaps you might want to get other all-city cats like Oiler or Triax on. If you can find them. ;)
Being a writer in Highschool in the early 90s was hella fun...props to the OOGs and SKIL for puttin this thing together..Having my whole Highschool BOMBED and my name hacked with it by a whole rival crew was a funny story lookin back. Taggers know what another writers looks like , even without ink all over clothes usually. So many of my OGs have made comebacks , I'm talkin 55-60 year old dudes, and many old crews are still going strong in LA and SF. Fkn love to see it. Kids now dont understand the world without cameras and phones, yet we did everything by word of mouth or flyers... props to ALL the LA heads. Hands down after school meeting up and bushoppin with the homies is a memory Ill always miss...the busses are just about done now. Shit if you tried puttin your hand in the drivers window to open the door might get you arrested lol.. (Dont get caught with your word).
GESO, REAR, RiST, CASER, DUSK, SUDEN, DOET, SEON, JiMER, SLEEZ, CHAKA. Special Shout Out too PRELL ONE!!!! OTR, LOD, RTDK... I remember to this day when he told me why he started putting the double LL's... Much Love PRELL you are a REAL ONE!!!!!!
