Your wrist hurts for the first week because of all the weight on them.......you should not have weight on your wrist haha your legs and core is what you should have the weight on to keep you on the bike and stable putting weight on your bars is never a good idea especially for cornering and speed
David Avery this needs to be seen by bugs. Weight on the wrists is a quick way to speed wobbles if you hit a bump

To ride a sportbike properly you use your calves, thighs and stomach muscles. The only things your hands do is hold on to the grips. No weight on the wrists at all.
Tsukamaki I’ve raced my bike before and never once was my stomach sore and hurt during the race you use your whole body if your doing it right and let the bike do the work and not you

To fix your wrist issue on the irl bike, slap on some tank pads on the side, their cheap and extremely useful, you should keep your weight up with your legs squeezing the tank and be loose in the wrists. Improves stability and limits fatigue.

As far how comfortable sportbikes are... depends on many things... I driven CBR600RR that was super comfy... ZX-6R 636 that broke my arms and spine... then again, I am too tall for most of them (6-4). I even had a bit of problem with my old Superduke, so I had to switch the handlebar for a wider one...
