The Ontario 18" Military machete is just about perfect for me. It's a good weight, holds an edge decently, isn't so thick & heavy that i wouldn't wanna take it with me, and at around $20 is really inexpensive. They also make a shorter version if that's too much blade for your needs.
I got one Ontario 18 machete it's just the handle that I don't like at all because it was too square for my hand so was really uncomfortable after polishing it with a rough sandpaper and putting some bicycles air chambers on the handle it's now very good and the blade look really indestructible ! But I've paid 44euros for it.. and it came dull lol
Me too. This is why average people have limited access to technology; full of shit. Clickbait channels should all receive healthy fines delivered for every single count of false advertising and deception videos.
The Cold Steel is Amazing. Truly a tool I can rely on when it's needed the most. A Blade I can trust. My Life with . Absolutely Perfection. If I had a to choose from any Machette on the market and they were free I would gladly pay double for the Cold Steel. Amazing for throwing and anything else I asked of it.
Cold steel kukri and magnum kukri look like its designs for combat too and that's what I like the most with cs. Self defense aspect is a real bonus for me and it's much fun to cut shit with it after learning a bit of machete fighting lol
What’s the name of that double handed machete, and is it any good? I live in the jungle now so I want something with a little more umph, for vegetation and predators.
Thanks for posting, I've noticed too many company's try to mix a machete and a chopper into one., which results in a long and heavy tool that's cumbersome and not ergonomic for constant use. Ive been looking for the perfect hybrid, and I may have found it. Thank you.
Try getting a Mexican machete from Durango Mexico or Guadalajara those are authentic hand made and to actually made to be use not to be sold I wish I could post a picture of mine
have been using machete/parang since im 5 using them for all kind of things n im pretty sure kukri style is the least useful design for outdoor activities the design is more for fighting in my opinion
I found the exact opposite...The only cheapest brand is Schrade but their products are very hit or miss...Cold Steel products are guaranteed to last a lot longer than the Shrade ones...
@@Kassandra_Karma I bought a machete from people who use such. 18" Tramontina, total length 23", 1070 HC Steel, weight #1 pound, 2 ounces, wood handle, full tang. Comes with a Nylon Sheath(Lowes, $19.95). This beast can't hardly be beat.
@@gregzeigler3850 Well if I lived in the USA I would try the one you said but since I live in Europe I can't - at least for the time being... I'll keep it in mind though so thanks for the tip!!!
I'll be honest. I couldn't even finish the video. I only got about half way through. Ignoring the whole "El Chete" translation, when you refer to your products as "knives" and not machetes, you lose your intended audience. Because lets be for real, these are knives and not machetes. The difference between a machete and a knife is the overall length. when you have a blade that is less than 12 inches long, you don't have machete at all. The point of a machete is to give you additional length so that you can add more force to the blow. These long knives are forcing you to work harder because you have less momentum in the swing due to their shorter lengths. Think of it like this. Imagine playing baseball and hitting the ball with a regular bat. Now cut the bat length by a third and still make contact with the ball. What do you think your result would be? Yeah, that is what we are dealing with here. Shortened blades and expecting the same result from a swing that you would get from a regular length "machete". I will say I do like where these manufacturers are thinking with handle design and angles to ensure better grip. I've used a number of traditional machetes over the years that simply allow for very poor grips on the handles. But these same manufacturers are reducing the overall lengths of the products to reduce costs in production. As good as the designs maybe, I think they would even be better if they added another 5 - 8 inches to the overall blade length. So what they are calling machetes, I'd call a long knife.
"The first knife in our selection is the El Chete. Which is Spanish for "the Chete". I couldn't even continue watching the video with a straight face after that. Who the hell writes and edits these things?

Thanks a lot @Lucas H but I think that a native American voice over sounds more professional. I will still continue to use my voice over from time to time.
You should do survival swords but in my opinion the best blades for survival are made by the Miller Bros Blades even know I don’t own one I know they are the best Blades for survival

Right??!?!??
Today I guess

They’re all heavy choppers, shoulda included silky nata

I liked this video solely because of the Spanish translation
They are all kyute! I wanna take them all home!
I feel like these hybrid are more heavy choppers then actual machetes, might as well have included silky nata
Brutal in combat
Really
El chette looks bad boi
You should read Pat McManus story The Christmas Hatchet. He gets it for Xmas and Mom says “Now don’t chop anything “.
What’s the name of that double handed machete, and is it any good? I live in the jungle now so I want something with a little more umph, for vegetation and predators.
Cold steel katana
NOT THE “DANGLER “😂😂😂🤙🏻🤙🏻
I bought one of those Cold Steel machetes at Sports Academy, and it had absolutely no edge........had to stick it to a grinder lmao......
How well does that first specific machete work for chopping off the hand of a thief? 🤔
😖
Whats the black handle knife shown in the thumbnail ? i cant see it in this video
Which machete was used on the title picture?
I love the chopper
Iike the new designs and patterns it's has style 🕶️
The El Chete is over $180.00, thought he said machete under a $100, and the Ka-bar BK21 is also ridiculously expensive
Now the El Chete is $548 on Amazon. Ridiculously overpriced.

If anyone is looking for a machete I suggest get one from old Mexico the ones they use to cut the tequila cactus
I had one from Guatemala that was a sugar cane cutter. It went ching ching with every cut. Somebody stole it:(
