At the same time, the Magdalena River, often known as the mother of the country, continues to hold a special place in the hearts of the locals. What will be lost as a result of progress?

I’m Colombian and I live in China. I feel much more curious about my own country now, now when I’m miles away. But thank God I can watch these documentaries that remind me of my roots.

What I remember of el rio Magdalena growing up from the Girardot and Villeta side, Was that the River used to be a very flowing River.

The Magdalena river is probably one of the world’s most contaminated rivers in the world.
Most cities in Colombia don’t have sewerages.
So all the excrements, dirty waters and garbage that those cities produce goes to the Magdalena river.
In Colombia, that totally legal.
As you can see fishing in that contaminated river is normal too.
In the same way, merchants would wash veggies and fruits in that river and then sell it without problem.
Definitely not there’s wast even a smell off it

Why does a good God allow suffering?
God differentiates between suffering by our own sinful thoughts, deeds and general godless behaviour. We eat what we shouldnt, drink what we shouldnt and then blame God for our diabetis and its pains !
God uses our suffering to call to us to believe in Him and call Jesus for help. Have you given your life to Jesus, since He bought you free from hells chains, then He uses our suffering for refining us into Gold and Diamonds.
Heat and pressure. The heat is on, the pressure is on , God is at work shaping us into His image. Every obstacle is a test of patience and faith. Hope this helped you brother.
