To anyone who wants to attempt this, here are some tips & requirements you ought to know. *1.* For the first phase, you have to be a master of counter attacks (rush parry, dragon counter R1+O as well, the Brawler block counter can also be used but it's very risky because Amon is very evasive so I suggest sticking to rush parry and dragon counter that I didn't use in this video, but I did in the 3rd Amon video I will upload, but for it you have to be even better with counters, you'll see). I'm sure you also noticed you can start a combo every time he stands up, just come behind him and start punching when he's mid way up. Tip: Jo Amon gets stunned ONLY in the first phase when he has NO heat aura, once he gets blue aura you can't stun him anymore. So do every stun heat action you want before he gets in the blue aura. *2.* Something I forgot to do in this video, but it's important if you want to do more damage as soon as he gets in MD phase, make sure your heat bar is FULL when you beat his 1st phase, because you can do the Brawler ❏, ❏, ❏, △, 〇 combo 3 times in a row, then do the combo without the grab once. When can you start this combo when he's on his feet? First option: 4:44, it's very risky but I must say I got lucky there, it was a reflex that made me evade. Second option (safest): 5:17. Right as he's about to finish the combo get close to him and start the combo. -You can also do these as he does those super fast slice attacks like the one at 4:06 but I don't recommend it as it's extremely risky. *IMPORTANT TIP:* Do *NOT* do Dragon heat actions UNTIL he gets in purple aura MD phase (read #3.) *3.* Once he gets in purple aura phase of MD (6:15) you can NO LONGER use Brawler against him. At all. You will get countered instantly. Now it's heat action time. As you've seen at the end of #2, you ought to save every Dragon heat action for this phase, including the Brawler heat action when someone is holding a knife/dagger, which I didn't do because I forgot xD. I don't need to explain much about this phase, as you can see everything in the video for yourself. The 4 dragon counter heat actions, the essence of sumo slapping, you can grab trash cans or signs nearby to do their heat actions as well but they're less safe because you're very slow while holding a sign and he can get aggressive and mess you up. I did the dagger heat action at the end because I ran out of options + I thought it looks cool as a finishing move. -I think this is everything, if I remember some other important tip I'll edit this comment and add it, but I'm almost certain I covered everything. I was doing this fight yesterday in the legendary difficulty, and even with the best equipment and spamming Tiger Drop, i was suffering a lot to win. Then I said to myself, "If anyone defeats Jo Amon in the legendary without using Tiger Drop, it must be some kind of god", and not only you did it, but you did it without taking any damage, what a legend.
Well if you play it safe and equip the War God Talisman you can definitely win without using Tiger Drop, dunno if you will take that tho LOL since the talisman offers you almost infinite heat gauge
7:02 feels by far the dumbest (best) part of this whole affair. Amon decides to go for a jog, and Kiryu just rudely clotheslines him before he can finish. He then goes back to sprinting without a care in the world. Ah, so pure-hearted is Amon.
Absolutely amazing video! You are the first person I have seen on youtube that has beaten Amon's phase 2 without using a single tiger drop. Everyone other player that I follow just gets to phase 2 before spamming tiger drops for the remainder of the fight and that gets boring to watch.
I mean, what’s the alternative? Don’t get me wrong, this is a great run and I’m glad it’s here, but you saw the video. There was literally minutes of him running around, doing nothing and building up heat because Amon is completely unsafe to attack without counters or Heat Actions (and they penalize you for using a Heat Action more than once by reducing the damage). You pretty much have to camp and cheese him and at that point I’d rather Tiger Drop all day than spend my life trying to beat one boss. I get that he’s a super boss, but It’s not good boss design and a problem I have with Kiwami 1, and the Amons in general.
Very good performance, I'll do a little comment for your performance. Your first phase is very dynamic, i like it. Personally I don't really like the abuse of rush style because Landing consecutive hits in the Rush Style can stun enemies/bosses as well as hitting, because it's a little bit broken, BUT in this video i like your use because you just want the perfect chance in order to perform some combos like in this video 2:30 or 3:18 (when amon's back is exposed pretty well) Moreover I liked the two heat actions in order to taking advantage of the environment. (2:11, 2:54). I also liked certain details and ideas 0:54 (quick change after combo with dragon) or this 3:24 consecutive combos with dragon. Bravo GK. in the second part, I had already watch some ideas from my friend shinobi, but yeah it's complicated like you said you should save every Dragon heat action for this phase and the brawler heat action etc. Anyway, the brawler combo it's a pretty good idea and i would say the second phase without tiger drop is strategic in general. NT: don't worry about the dagger heat action is a very cool finisher and waste your video for a stupid heat action isn't the best. Одличан видео :)

This was not an easy fight to no damage without tiger drop, because it requires a little bit of luck, for an example: heat actions at 2:11 and 2:54 are risky because Amon can randomly do the beyblade spinning move and hit you before you even have time to evade, thankfully he was merciful here. I also saw this idea from Shinobi Kev, that's why I mentioned him in the description, I believe he deserves the credit. Soon, I will upload the most difficult Kiwami no damage challenge I've ever done, and no one did it on RUclips so far, maybe you'll want to attempt it.
It's only now occuring to me that fighting this guy with a black longcoat and sunglasses as Kiryu with a black suit and sunglasses makes this look like Neo fighting Agent Smith but you're playing as Agent Smith. Not to mention, in the original ps2 game, he starts off dual-wielding pistols
I gotta say I just unlocked Jo on Hard mode and this is my first time fighting an Amon boss, so I really appreciate the effort you went to with your techniques.

The truly amazing part is that no one ever calls the police. Like this man is being chased by a knife wielding mad man (for like the hundredth time) and just narrowly escaping with his life, literally having to beat Amon off him. It also seems really odd to me that Kiryu gets beaten hungry, and food heals him, but helping his digestive (probably cause of the mess) hurts him Yes, I know it's only a game, and yes, I'm the life of every damn party I've ever been to
Well considering the cops in the game are mentioned to be rather ineffective in other cases, i dont think there is any difference of them handling two insane yakuza fighting each other

Hey man! Yeah I always wondered why you avoided using heat actions, but I wanted to make it as entertaining as possible. For the second phase, I noticed I didn't even try to build up heat that much. It wasn't my #1 priority, I just got used to evading every time he attacks, but I guess my first priority was to catch him at some point to do the combo, although it looked like I constantly tried to build up heat. And of course, even without your video I was planning on trying to no damage Amon without tiger drop, but I'd have to experiment and find my own strategy for hours. Your video really helped save my time, so you deserve the credit. Btw I made another attempt without tiger drop, with even more heat actions. Check it out if you want. Enjoy 😁
@@GUNKSHOTT haha it was another challenge to not use heat actions because I made a version where I used almost all heat actions that didn't need any weapon and no Komaki heat counters variations x) the game is so fun to play without heat actions for me heat actions were mostly the finishing touches haha I had too much fun in this

This is how i defeat all hard bosses in this game (although it's slow and boring) 1. Get the increase heat when dodging in rush mode skill 2. Buy a bunch of weapons (the easiest place is from Don Quijote) 3. Dodge enemy attacks until you reach red heat, pull out weapon, use heat action and repeat
I'm afraid I won't be able to upload that video, because I reached Majima SSS rank a long time ago, before I even started recording. In order to get to it, I need to make a new save file and do everything again, which is way too time consuming for me. I got something better planned though. 😈 Stay tuned.
And thinking that I beat it yesterday and took me 5 hours to learn how to play with him, and I didn't give up even if i only had 3 burguers to heal hahahaha. Of course I was bad doing the Tiger drop so i tried many ways and I played almost all the game without weapons, only hands. I really thought that would be easy, because only Majima with the bat was difficult for me, but Jo Amon... God, I didn't feel this pain since Sephiroth of KH 1 hahahaha

i noticed that when you used dragon of dojima without heat you still maneged to have the same combo speed you had with the heat up how did you do it ?
It's related to low health. I'm not sure if it's on skill tree, but if you have low health, speed of dragon style is increased.
