I love this rig. I have this one, the Brandon Li version, and the new universal cage. With the new DJI Mic 2, I no longer need to run a hub to get wireless audio and SSD recording which makes this smaller set up even more powerful since the DJI Mic 2 can connect using Bluetooth and doesn't need USB-C now. It is such a great time to be a content creator.

do you have to take your iphone case off to use the Brandon Li version? Would you choose the universal or the iphone specific?

Can the Rode Wireless Pro also connect via bluetooth? Or must that one be connected via USB-C? Because the goal is to be able to connect both an external SSD device and a microphone to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Any way to do that without needing a USB Hub?

im so confused. everywhere im looking smallrig says that the m-mount adapter/vari nd filter will NOT fit on the 15 pro cage. it seems like it does. could you kindly let me know what part numbers the components have (cage, vari nd, mount adapter). would be much appreciated! thanks!!

Does anyone have a similar problem with this ND filter, the design of which covers part of the frame when using an ultra wide lens?
Anyone else having issues getting the lens attachment on the smallrig case?When I start screwing on the bottom middle lens, and tighten all the way, it goes past the top left lens, and things are off balance. Do I just not tighten the lens mount adapter all the way?

My issue with this one is I can’t do SSD and Rod wireless Go at same time. Plus I have the brandon Li version and the VND mount has to be messed up because it over rotates and doesn’t cover all the lenses. Any thoughts?

I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max and use the Blackmagic Camera app with all the specifications I've seen in this tutorial and others. However, my videos always have grain, and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I understand it might be due to low light in the places I'm recording, but almost all the material has grain. Can you help me improve this? Thank you in advance
What anamorphic lenses would you recommend to go with this cage?
Did you use Dji Mic 2 with this rig? For me dosnt work. Adapter not long enough and small rig adapter is not work with too..😢

Thank you so very much for your excellent video! I have two idiotic noob questions (Please DON'T hate on me. Pretty Please.):
1. I usually have a slim iPhone case to protect my iPhone 15 Pro. Can the Brandon Li version allow this to fit? Or do I need to "go commando" and use my iPhone 15 Pro bare naked with the Brandon Li stabilizer?
2. Compared to using a DJI Osmo 6 gimbal, is the Brandon Li stabilizer as smooth? I would love to know the pros and cons of each. Bonus stupid question: I saw a photo of someone using a Brandon Li stabilizer mounted to a DJI Osmo gimbal. Does this offer any advantages?

Hey Roger, great video. Can the exact same set up you did on the bigger small rig set up, be set up on this? The USB-C hub, SSD card and battery pack? Is there only one cold shoe mount on the top of this cage? Where would the other parts be attached?

Yes it can. There are 1/4” 20s all over so it may require a bit more rigging but agghe same time it has cold shoe mounts around it. Perhaps I need to make a video to address this question.

Roger have you had any issues with the light coming in from the top of the camera when you have the filter on. The reason is that there is a small gap that lets light from behind you??? Not sure what can be done but I am not happy as it produces terrible lens flares in the videos. Let me know if you have the same issues????
Hi Roger, which nd filter adapter did you use? I have a iPhone 15 pro and want to buy the 4397 Smallrigs dual handle cage. Online they say it is not compatible with the 52mm filteradapter and VND.

When you slide it in, is there any chance it would scratch the sides of the phone?
It’s got padding all along the insides of the cage. Can’t scratch it.

@@rogerseng I found one video on RUclips,. We can connect a mount over the anamorphic and attach ND filter.
I wanted a cage like this but not everyone has money to buy so I become happy just seeing it. 😔

Why are you not using Samsung SSD T9 which has higher write speed?
The only thing I don’t like about it, it doesn’t have protection for the back of the camera which is glass they need a better model
