Group Blind Reacts to Popular Women's Fragrances (Gucci, Lancôme, Calvin Klein, YSL & More)

- We are back again with another blind reaction video. In this video, we picked out 7 popular women's fragrances for our guests to react to. Each guest was given 2 test strips for each fragrance. The 1st strip is sprayed on 10-30 seconds before, and the 2nd strip was sprayed an hour before each guest sat down to give it a chance to dry down. After a quick break, they then will go back and smell them all again to decide what is their favorite and least favorite. We hope you enjoy it!

LOL the reaction to Euphoria - "this is the smell of depression". Literally the exact opposite of the frag name. I cried laughing.

The guy who said "la vie est belle" smells like a new life was so spot on with the perfume's name and the ad's storytelling that I thought he was channeling something ! Than he said Euphoria smelled like depression ... oups.
This is shows how everyone have different taste on different smells, so guys go with what you really like rather than what people say is good !!

I think “group blind reacts to oud fragrances” would be a great idea. You can use it to explore the whole spectrum from tom ford synthetic oud to montale animalic synthetic and maybe even something with real stinky oud to finish with
We can see how doing videos with notes only would work. Oud would be an interesting one to sample for sure.

@@garypierce7380 the other day I used a sample of Oud for Greatness and my daughter kept telling me how good I smelled she said “Omg mommy, you smell like papa, he always smelled so good!” That was the last day I used it 😆 Smells great though - for a man.
@@leilani_808 I'd definitely recommend sampling some different oud scents if you're able, it can change depending on the other notes present, definitely not a solely masculine note (imo at least)

These videos are so entertaining. Thanks for doing a slate of woman's fragrances. It's funny to see the reactions when the reveal was done. Brand name and packaging clearly influence shopping. The blind sampling clearly took away that influence on the panel. Some of them looked surprised by what they preferred in the end.

I love how Gucci bloom was associated mainly as a grandmother type of smell 😂 the heavy white floral will do that.

I love these reaction videos and my favorite amongst the panel is definitely the big guy with the beard. He's the most entertaining and has some spot on takes. I'm into fragrances and agree with most of what he says. Keep them coming.

YSL Libre is god tier for me, I got a strip in my wallet and it made my drawer and my wallet smell amazing for over a week. Actually my wallet still has some scent left and it’s been 2 weeks now.
I got my mom libre intense on account of it winning awards on Fragrantica. It smells wonderful and my mom loved it.
@@fragitude Sounds like the intense version is a great blind buy, I can’t even get the 90mL version in my country on the count that it’s highly sought after.

I realize that the average person can't describe perfumes very well, but these ageist comments are not necessary. 😑 I'm not aquainted with any grandmothers who wear Gucci Bloom, but the ones who do certainly smell fantastic.
I agree they say it like being old is a bad thing. A less ageist way of putting it would be to say the perfume leans more mature or has a classic smell about it.
They’re all Gen Z or Millennials so their reactions are not shocking and quite honest, they’re not obligated to use political correct terms for older people, as Gen X I’m tickled by their reactions
why are you so sensible ? it's not like they are saying grandmas stink. It's just a very specific type of scent profile that we associate with older women, when I smell Gucci Bloom I immediately think in my mom (middle 50's) so that's it, it's too mature for my taste.
I'm assuming "Bling" in the title is supposed to be "Blind", but I also like the idea that the group named themselves Group Bling.

I could never understand that blond girl with the cap, why she kept compare the fragrances to the bottle cap root beer favor or whatever. I never drink root beer but like so many fragrances she had said the same thing, which, I am 100 sure, does not smell like that at all!

Unfortunately the good smell on the paper won’t be the same on your girl’s skin! So it’s hard to buy a good parfume for your girl if her body’s chemical reaction to that parfume is sensitive. So surprising none of the blind tester likes YSL Libre..🤢
I bought La Vie est Belle based on the paper smell, but after putting on my skin it made me vomit, I spent a day trying to scratch it off my skin. I had to give it away.

Lancome la Vie Est Belle smells too mainstream for me. It's got an old-money/mean-girl vibe. 🤣 Definitely not a personal preference. It's not bad at all, but it's not for those who prefer to think outside the box.

I don't think so, these fragrances are popular and well-known!
Not the ones in this video I would guess, it’s usually the more luxury or indie brands that send out free bottles and these ones are mass market

I'm disappointed. I've bought my wife gallons of perfume and YSL Libre is by far the best. I guess if the girls want to smell like lollipops and cotton candy, that's their prerogative. If you want an inexpensive teenie perfume, then just stick to Love's Baby Soft or something from Britney Spears. 😅

Libre is gorgeous, don't worry. I think it blooms best on the body rather than paper, though.
Prerogative by Britney Spears is pretty good. If you like sweetly spiced coffee scents.

All these videos just portray basic young people who think La Vie Est Belle and other basic mainstream scents being the best thing ever. Anything outside of their narrow mindset is considered “old” or “grandma”. I’m 32, but I’m going to hug my vintage perfumes tightly tonight.
It reads very immature when some of them write off everything as old lady scent. Put some thought into it. 🤦♀️You associate it with the smells you recall growing up, so it probably has the florals that were popular during that time frame; you remember your mother wearing it or it from department stores while shopping with the adults as a kid.

However, would love for them to have a passable vocabulary or range of expressions to be able to effectively communicate their views.
