Reading that comment made my day, thank you!🙏🙂
I just found your channel and am so excited and comforted to have someone to “mentor” me as I take the first steps into the dreamy world of glass painting! God bless you for desiring to share your knowledge, passing down to others all the wealth of your years of practice. I can’t wait to get a kiln so I can get started! Thank you!! 🙌🏼
Wonderful! So glad to know you are starting your glass painting journey Andrea!🙏🙂
What fantastic news, I’m so excited and can’t wait to sign up!
Wonderful! Looking forward to seeing you on the course Jan !
This looks fantastic, and it's great to see you back and looking so well 💪
I'm planning on signing up later in the year when I've got more time 👍
Excellent! Looking forward to seeing you on the course 🙏🙂
Love your channel bro. Keep it up 🤘
I have a question though. Got any tips on how to straighten and bend the metal framing with and without proper tools?
Not sure what you mean …
I'll be taking the course as soon as we get our house back, we're having a ton of work done and everything is in chaos, including my workroom. I learned at the beginning from Williams & Byrne's online courses, then for a completely different way of looking at the world (and handling the design and execution of the painting) I also took Peter McGrain's course. Everybody does things a bit differently, and you can't have too many variations of techniques in your toolbox!
That's great, really look forward to seeing on the course soon! Don't hesiate to email me if you need more information :-)
Damn I missed this one .
The course is still open if you would like to take part !

I’m excited to hear about the new course! Are the course tutorials similar to your RUclips tutorials? I’ve watched most of those (and also enjoy the interviews with glass artists). I see there is additional support via Facebook and Zoom, a great added feature for feedback. Is the online course available to those of us in other time zones (USA)? Will the Zoom calls be scheduled times or individual appointments?
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and love for glass art. Thank you for compiling your recommended supplies in a convenient shop. I’ll be giving the light panel and dip pens a workout today!
Hi Becky, the online course covers everything you need to get started painting on glass. You'll find some of the techniques or methods have been featured in youtube videos, but this course is designed to go deeper and give you more support moving forward. There are PDF designs to download and you can ask me questions in the course at the end of the pre-recorded lessons. You can start and stop these videos whenever you like, so no issues with time zones. Zoom meetings are an option if you want to talk over things as well, usually by appointment at a convenient time.. Hope that helps, best wishes, Derek
If you want to paint on glass, must it be fired, what kind of kiln, what degree? I would love to take your class, but I was looking at kilns in the US and they are very pricey. Thank you. Judy Sullivan
Hi Judith, if you go to my web site you can download a free PDF with lots of information about what you need to get started painting on glass. Go to www.DerekHuntArtist.com
