The NHL playoffs are getting INSANE

- William Nylander and the Maple Leafs beat the bruins to draw even in the series, 3-3, and now we've got a classic game 7 queued up for Saturday night! That and more in today's NHL Hockey video!

It was destine to go to game 7, we all knew it would happen
It is written that Toronto/Boston must go to game 7 before Toronto loses
@@toedrag-release there this guy called “The Oz” (check out pat macaffe show) that predicted they would come back once it was 3-1, and win in a game 7 nail biter. He also predicted game 6 would be a shutout which it basically was (smh why even shoot that puck what a Dick lol).
I think it’s about time. This series taught them to play true playoff hockey, kind of like what happened to Florida the last half of last season + round 1.
Gonna be interesting. I think more pressure on Boston tbh.
@@toedrag-release You have to give your fans hope before you utterly crush it after-all...
Boston is destined to blow two 3-1 series leads in a row.
@DropBear_42 But it WASN'T a shutout. Even if the goal was scored with 0.1 left the Leafs were trying to get that shutout up until that very last second and they didn't do it. So no, "basically" doesn't count... a shutout wasn't in the books so dude is already wrong on 1 prediction lol.
As a Leafs fan, I refuse to get my hopes up lol. I won't believe it until I see it.
Same on the other side 😂
I told my friend after game 4 that I will not start celebrating yet. I just had this feeling of game 7 with Bruins blowing another 3-1 lead.
57 years of disappointment will do that to a person.
NOT A LEAFS fan and I refuse to believe, until they win game 7 and then get swept by Florida !!!!
It’s going to be wild. Can’t wait to watch this game 7
At the end of the 2nd period in Game 4, the Leafs were booed off the ice
At the end of the 2nd period in Game 6, the Leafs were given a standing ovation
The beauty of playoff hockey - as long as you have another shot, you're always able to rewrite the narrative.
And they earned both!
I think it was being booed that are making them play better. Being booed by your fans, is a swift kick in the butt.
Yeah, Leaf fans are schizo.
History will repeat and leafs will choke in game 7
Regardless of who wins. Hats off to Woll and Swayman. They have been absolute studs
American and Russian goalies taking over.
@@Captainmunch41 Last two Stanley cups were won with a Canadian goalie.
If you didn't think this series was going to 7, you haven't been watching these two teams long enough.
Had Keefe not gone with Woll, this series would have been over in 5.
My dad called this shit before the first game even happened, I thought he was just messing with me but apparently this outcome was expected for a lot of people.
2 years in a row, the Bruins take a 3-1 series lead and still manage to screw it up lmao
Regardless of the history between these teams (Toronto hasn't beaten Boston in the playoffs since the 50s), Boston fans must be terrified.
If the Leafs lose, well ... us Leafs fans are used to it. I'm not getting excited unless they make it to round 3. if they win, well ... I can't help but laugh at the idea of Boston losing the first round two years in a row after being up 3 games to 1.
Pathetic
If you like that one, you'll love how many consecutive game 7s the Leafs have lost to Boston.
The Bruins are almost as chokey as the Leafs are in the playoffs. I'm used to this as a Bruins fan. They've blown so many 3-1, and 3-0 series, along with having the most game 7 loses in NHL history.
@@DarkPassenger I can bear witness to that, Habs did it so often in the early '00s when you had Thornton, and once after he was gone also? And all the times before the 21st century.
I was at the game last night and Scotiabank Arena was fucking BUZZING. Regardless of how tomorrow night plays out, it'll be a memory of mine forever. The roof popped off the place when Willy buried the late breakaway goal.
Wow. So lucky. I'm 3000 miles away in London england and wish I was there. Can I ask how much u paid for the ticket?
@@Leafs1probably about the same as a flight from London to Toronto.
As a panthers fan I am just happy to see our guys get a long rest. Cant wait to see who we play next!
when William Nylander scored the second goal, I jumped up and dislocated my arm.
I'd like to know why nobody is talking about the fact that Marchand pushed a linesman after he put bertuzzi into the bruins bench.
Should have been thrown out.
Yeah refs went easy this game, Holmberg probably should’ve got a penalty for the cross check on Lohrei
@@hogan124_3 true even as a leafs fan I agree
Honestly, because of the type of player he is, Boston doesn't deserve to advance. sorry not sorry
I am absolutely baffled. Literally it is right there in the rulebook, an automatic 10 game suspension and NO ONE IS EVEN TALKING ABOUT IT. Marchand should not be in game 7 and yet, he will be. Unserious league.
Matthew Knies is starting to turn into that clutch time player. Hope he keeps improving and getting more minutes
He was sick as hell last year too. I think he will turn into a great regular season player, but he’s made for playoffs
He came in straight to playoffs last year and made a big impact and even better now!
He's a truck out there. This is what they mean when they call a player "built for the playoffs"
“Raise your Willie’s” ain’t no way, Eck 💀💀
I guess the only question now is who’s gonna choke harder😂
Yup!
As a Leafs fan I am ecstatic and anxious about Game 7. I picked Leafs in 7 before this series. Hopefully I'm right.
I love how we had opposites reactions to the nylander goal, you were jumping up and down and i screamed and changed the channel
If the Bruins blow 3-1 series lead twice in 2 years, I don’t even know what to say.
You can say they’ve pulled a leafs!
I do,,,, YAY!!
@@johnq2068they choke more than the leafs do and have a worse playoff record.
@@Gl-my8fw seriously leafer? How could you make that argument when they won the cup and lost twice in the final in 10 years? Leafs have a single series win in 20 years. Get serious man.
About to have another series win 😁
It doesn’t matter who wins Game 7, the final result will be hilarious
Would love to see the UrinatingTree reaction either way
This is embarrassing for the Bruins regardless of what happens in game 7
Half a game with only ONE SHOT!? That has to be some sort of record.
Me and a friend somehow won tickets during the tailgate event lol so we got to watch this game live, and MAN was it fun.
I cannot describe in words just how insanely loud it was inside when willy scored both of his goals and Woll made his amazing stops. What a night.
Of course this goes to Game 7, of course.
The Bruins looked awful these last few games, and Marchand has had almost no impact. I'm ready for the Leafs v Panthers rematch.
I’m a leaf’s fan so of course I want them to win, but going beyond that, I just believe it’s a WAY better story.
Boston has had so much success in football, baseball, and hockey, and now basketball (again lol).. let ‘em lose this and make history on the bad side for once.
Then you have the story of Florida coming back from 3-1 to face the leafs, now you have the leafs potentially coming back from 3-1 to face Florida.
Also I don’t think Boston will give the fans an entertaining series with Florida.
Toronto snd Florida have bad blood, the story is there, the history is there to be made. It just HAS to happen at this point; not even for the Toronto fans but for the hockey world in general.
@@DropBear_42 I agree, though I think Boston would make a bigger dent in the Panthers, a series against the Leaf's would be much more entertaining. I'm hoping Bennett gets what's coming to him after last year.
Not sure either of these teams have much of a chance against the Panthers…
Coincidentally, Marchand has stopped being an impact player at precisely the moment the refs decided to stop putting up with his bullshit and start calling penalties.
Raise your Willies 😂😂😂😂 this is hilarious!
The memes are going to be amazing Saturday night.
Woll was incredible.
Its been so good hockey! Im loving it
Wol is 100% the hero of this leaf turnaround and they let them score to blow the shutout. Felt so bad watching that
The Leafs are finally in a spot where the pressure seems to be off of them and entirely on the Bruins. They’re playing smart responsible hockey and actually getting some damn saves, crazy what having faith in your goalie can do for a team. The Leafs are the Leafs they are known for not getting it done that is literally their identity but now the attention is shifting to the Bruins cause everyone is starting to realize that they’ve also blown it a handful of times since their cup win.
The Leafs were declared dead after game 4 with talk of big trades and firings being imminent and that still could very well happen but they’ve been playing like they don’t want that to happen for maybe the first time in the entire core 4 era.
Game 7 needs to go to quadruple OT.
Swayman played so good that the whole arena chanted his name lmao
Willy is a true playoff performer! He brings it every post season! Knies was fantastic as well and needs to be a Leaf for life.
All about Willie? You mean The Brick WOLL.
Love your videos Eck. Question, how are you able to show NHL footage? Do you have to pay the NHL for the rights to show highlights?
Surprised? No. Disappointed? Yes. But we all knew it was going to 7. Now we get to see who's gonna choke the hardest.
Shot attempts vs actual shots tells me people are getting in lanes, have good sticks and are working hard to help out Woll. It's what ya want to see.
0:11 lol
Got a Nylander jersey for my birthday gift yesterday and boy was luck ever on my side
when the leafs win. No one can say we are the worst finishers is NHL. Boston has that role in 2 years
New York is thinking of changing their team name to the NYLanders.
True story.
Well the boston goalie leaving the net and it being turned over and eventually becoming a haunting goal hasnt happened yet. Which means its coming game 7
The second round will be lit :)
I’m not surprised that this happened
This is fate
You did show it, but I didn't hear a comment on the hit from behind. The non call just before the first goal. Thoughts!!??
It should have been 2 minutes each. Boston player was holding the stick for 3-4 seconds. Toronto player was trying to pull it free and ended up cross checking him into the boards. You can see the ref make a hand signal looking at the play, can't really tell what it meant, but from the look of it he felt that the two plays cancelled each other out, or that the holding of the stick played a big part in the hit happening.
I still think he should have called both, rather than neither. Can understand Boston fans not happy about it since the Leafs scored off a faceoff shortly after. But in game 3 Boston tied the game was seconds after Marchand and Bertuzzi had been going at each other and should have both been given penalties causing the play to be blown dead. That shift is also where Matthews got taken down behind the net with no call, and is likely where he got injured.
It went in the Leafs favour in game 6, but it went in the Bruins favour in game 3.
At the end of the day it doesn't matter because Florida in 5
Few things in life give me the kind of joy I get from seeing Brad Marchand unhappy
I can accept a loss if the leafs carry their play into game 7. My main frustration with them was never the results, it was how they played. They were an embarrassing team to root for because they had no heart, no identity, no effort. It feels like theyre finally starting to get it. Boston was constsntly ditching the puck early to avoid hits, something they've needed to incorporate into their playoff performances for a long time. If they play like that and lose tmrw, i will be more excited for next season, than bummed that this season is over. Typically I curse them all off season for folding under pressure time and time again. Bruins are going to have to earn tmrw. Finally... a Leafs performance I can respect...
Willy did raise my Willy last night
Swayman is so OP.
Hey eck, what do you think of the Dallas stars? I know you like the villain as to what my stars are playing against, but can you do a video about their comeback just like the leafs-bruins?
Game 7’s for the culture! 😊
Raise my WHAT ECK???
Makes you wonder if the Leafs depended too much on Matthews. Gregor was a nice addition and I hope Bobby McMann gets healthy if we win game 7.
Might sound dumb but that goal the Bruins scored is meaningful. Game 7 going to be crazy
@0:10 ayo???
JVR is probably thinking to himself oh not again I've been in this situation back in 2013 lol
hahaha He's definitely having some painful flashbacks right now!!
This leafs team is impressive. I loved the way Woll made big saves, including that ridiculous one on Coyle. Buy I also like the way they blocked shots and didn’t allow Boston to have too many rebounds. There’s no denying Boston blew this one though. Piss poor shot selections and tunnel vision failing to move the puck well to create better scoring opportunities. Bruins look like they’re fighting mental demons…
Let's go Leafs 💪🇨🇦
Go leafs go
Nylander likes to play ghost during the season sometimes, but out of all the big name guys on Toronto he SHOWS UP during the playoffs. This was only his second game of the playoffs this year and he put in two, I say he's pulling his weight and then some when it comes to post season.
Active weeping scheduled for tonight
2 in a row, baby
As long as bruins loose. To any team. Im happy. Game 7 stanley cup loss at home is my dream.
What’s up bruins!? 😂 is someone paying them off to play this bad? Holy cow
Ref didn't call a boarding penalty twice, which cost Boston the game.
my bracket is looking good
Its now a competition of who chokes harder. Leafs in game 7s against Boston, or Boston after taking a 3-1 series lead
Everyone makes fun of the Leafs, but I feel the Bruins have a lot to lose here too. Just last year, after setting a new record for season wins and points, they blew a 3-1 series lead to an 8 seed and got bounced in the first round. A similar thing happened with Tampa five years prior, and even before that, Tampa had somewhat of a "history" of choking, considering they had multiple conference finals and one finals appearance but always came back with nothing. Their reputation for not being able to close out a series and go all the way with their talent was finally erased when they went back to back, in what was basically a perfect redemption arc.
For Boston, it's starting to look troublesome. 2011 is starting to fade into memory, as are their hopes of reaching the top of the mountain again. If Boston doesn't win this series, and if they can't take the cup this year (which already seems doubtful), then they'll basically become the new Caps/Lightning as far as being regular season darlings that just were not built for playoff hockey.
Almost forgot Eck was a leafs fan
Wow, another Leafs-Bruin video, I one else is making those
1967, it was 4-1, they lost to a 42 year old Zamboni driver, we want Florida. I wonder what the next line is gunna be to add it to the vault
why.

Leafs in 7
Easy: "I was wrong" :)
Shocked they didn’t go to Woll earlier. Just looks more confident than Samsoso. Not sure what you would do on the Bruins side - outside of the horrible no good offensive effort in the first, they also played well. Looking forward to game 7.
Aside from game 4 the Leafs have been outplaying the Bruins. It would ne such an amazing comeback and retribution for the Leafs to win gane 7 against the bruins
Yeah outside of game 4 they've carried the majority of the play 5 on 5. If their special teams just matched the league's worst regular season teams in PP and PK, they probably win this in 6.
It would be huge psychologically for the Leafs to win a game 7 in Boston
stone cold middle bird 2:37
Brad Marchand: We had them in the first half.
By the way, it was a clear and incontrovertible boarding penalty on Holmberg that was not called.
LETS SEE BRAD IN THE SIN BIN TONIGHT!!
Just watch Leafs do a Leafs and flame out in game 7. Last season was an anomaly for the Leafs.
Than spin-o-rama pass from Knies was the play of the game IMHO.
Man, the leafs really are a second half team
Man if the leafs can pull this off it will be shed so many demons… plus forcing Boston to wear the crown of first ever big 4 sports team to give up back to back 3-1 leads in the playoffs would just be everything a leafs fan could dream of.
Am I surprised leafs took it to game 7? As a Leafs fan I'm surprised every year that they don't find some way to lose in 3
I know that refs make mistakes and miss calls, but it really sucks that the Leafs first goal should never have happened. And if the first goal hasn't been scored, the second wouldn't have happened. The Leafs looked good but it's always disappointing when a missed call changes the game.
Austins value goes down after his teams success, without him.
The choking contest has reached Game 7 💀
Bro do you know any other phrase other than GD?
WE'VE GOT OURSELVES A CHOKE OFF.
When the Leafs win a game 7 against Boston, the curse will be lifted
If the Leafs win Florida is just gonna stomp on them.
Funny how the leafs went from “A DISGRACE!!” to “They had me jumping out of my seat” in just two games isnt it… Eck? 🤔🤔
I think the Leafs can pull this off. Either way, Saturday night should be a classic!
0:09 what a stupid patch on the Leafs jersey lmao
The script is revealing itself
for the first time in history, another team might leaf themselves harder than the leafs
huh
MAPLE CHOKES
Go Leafs!!!
Go leafs go!
For Habs fans, Bruins / Leafs series is a best case scenario. One of these teams is s going to continue to be known as a choker.
Marchand's antics have caught up with him this series. He's been flopping all over the ice from the start. Him going down when the linesmen touched him in game 5 appears to have been the final straw. He went down 2-3 times in this game at the slightest touch and there was no call, whereas earlier in the series he was drawing penalties. Conversely, he got his first minor of the series(that gave the leafs a powerplay), and even as a Leafs fan I can say it was a soft call.
You reap what you sow. Officials review game tape too, and the officials did not give him any leeway at all last game.. In Toronto we saw it with Bunting last year, and going back further with Kadri.
I can't stand him, but I can't deny he is a hell of a player. His focus lately seems to be more on trying to draw penalties than elevating his game 5 on 5.
Not three paragraphs!
Whats the story on Mathews? Couldnt watch hame, kust getting the highlights. Did je play??
He did not play. Apparently Leaf’s are better off without the best goal scorer in the league 💀
