Gotta love how they handle epoxy without gloves and deremel carbon and fiberglass and spraypaint without respirators. 10/10 typical chinese health and safety measures. 👍
@@S1lverarrow China (not hongkon) has a lower life expectancy than pertty much all of europe, canada and the US. But Hongkong has one highest in the world.

If Hong Kong was as big and have desert with draught and winter nomatter what you will have low life expectancy. Speaking about which, China life expectancy is 78.6 vs Europe 80, not big difference. Now Lets compare HK with some similar place in China, Shanghai, 83.66 vs 83.66, exactly the same, why? Because Hong Kong is just a big rich Chinese city, they are not any better or worse, stop making stupid comparision.
WOW! So much work! True craftsmen!! I can appreciate the research and effort in designing and manufacturing the airframe. Thanks for sharing, this was a great video!
Really impressive craftsmanship! But if you want to scale up the production process and produce 10 or 100 times as much, you have to look into automation of the process. As an example, you can look at the automated production process of the carbon tubs of the BMW i3. The carbon tub of the BMW i3 uses carbon fiber and a thermoplastic binder (PBT or polybutylene tere-phthalate). The forming process is fully automated and production numbers can be very high.
Ailerons bagged with a wings like a one solid item? What material used for aileron hinge? Is this fiber? What type of fiber? And how it stay flexible and wear-resistant if it soaked by resin?
pretty cool. id love to see a variant that leverages the VTOL props for fixed wing flight propulsion tilting to provide forward thrust in a push-pull configuration so you don't need a tail prop, also would enhance performance, especially if they're ducted

I don't like it. VTOL is vertical take-off and landing. It was made because there was engineering behind the feat. You just glued quadcopter components to a drone model. Lazy, stupid, and ugly.

Indeed, production must be cost effective!@@明李-o9c
Most probably automation cost is high. Labor is cheap.
Gracias por compartir, maravilloso proceso de fabricación, ensamble u pruebas de vuelo, saludos desde Villahermosa, Tabasco, México!
Amazing lightness and strength in design and manufacture, but then you attach the tail with two simple latches, very odd!
Awesome craftsmanship, it would be great if you guys could upload building a gimbal, interesting machines!
What layer does he put after the first layer of carbon?
I believe it was a thin sheet of porous foam which can absorb the epoxy

Cool assembly, but not the "built from scratch" the title claimed.
Nothing like having a bunch of wicking felt end up in your carbon fiber shell. A mighty fine boat they're building...

carbon fiber is actually sub optimal because it interferes with the radio control and video transmit signals
What caused the carbon fiber to come out white? Would it be a fiberglass layer?
gel coat or paint applied to mold before carbon fibre
I think they're painting in between steps
You all need a chemical grade mask or paint grade mask.
That paper mask is for saw dust and droplets protection.
How long is the range of this VTOL drone? How long does it last in the air?

No gloves, poor personal air filtration, no hearing protection and epoxy resin exposure.
