A spare set of 4.8/5.3 heads you can cut one cylinder off of each one and weld together to make one L6 head to bolt onto a Ford 300. HRM did an article on one and there is a couple yt channels doing this build as well. I was told the HRM article that thing made over 500 HP and over 600 ft lbs! Don't quote me on the numbers though, that's what I was told, I haven't read the article yet. So if you ever get a Ford 300 in the shop, you have the spare set of heads. Happy New Year Rodney!
Nice work on the LS Bear! I am eager to hear that one run on your engine stand. They are nice engines for the vehicles that came with them, but I prefer to stick with the original SBC in the vehicles that came with them, and that is all I have ever owned, so far! I wonder if dealer has parts for caprice, currently gathering parts to rebuild ac/heaterbox evap core , heater core, blower motor, relay, resistor

Never understood why GM had the 4.8 when it was just a little weaker on horsepower and torque and I think I recall no MPG difference
