Lots of EMD power, piggyback trailers, classic locomotives, cabooses, an operating tower, fallen flags...great video! End of an era.

Wish I could have gotten to Marion during the Erie Lackawanna era! I finally visited in 1994. But by then so much was already gone.

Crazy to see NS SD70s looking that shiny and new... they were so dull by the time I started railfanning in the mid 2000s... same goes for most of the power in the video.
Also that shot of the gate coming down in front of the courthouse (around 32:00) and the meet on the diamonds (47:20-ish) were great, that had to be really noisy

ALSO loved the angle at 1:11:45, and 8652 has a really interestingly tuned P5. Almost sounds like a mix of a P5 and K5LLA, if K5LLAs had existed yet.

Love the horn on engine 6789. Reminds me of the PennCentral days. I know no one cares, but in my opinion the Leslie A200 is the best especially on the A, E, and F units. Do you or anyone else know the type of horn used on the train mentioned? Great video.

Leslie S3L. Greatest horn Conrail ever had IMO. There was no denying that sound. Especially on a warm summer night or a cold snowy day. It would echo for eternity

That was a good train video. Which side of Marion Ohio that this coal train was passing through at 36:59 of this train video and was the coal train going Northbound or Southbound at 36:59 of this train video?

Is there any reason that the red aspect back then was on the top and green was on the bottom

The signals were still in place from the Erie Lackawanna era. The EL used that style. Same as traffic signals.

And freight cars built by Trailer Train (TTX) show their new logo, somewhere in mid 2000s they changed the logo again.

Nice NS, Conrail, and CSX Action but Sadly NS and CSX Took Over Conrail in 1999, Which means I’m sad
