I like how in between various very fitting scenes there's the occasional shot of Bones looking completely annoyed like Kirk is ranting to him and he's heard it so many times that he's just sick of it now.
Only Emma Swan and Thor could produce a child like James T. Kirk.

I love how when Uhura finishes kissing Spock she give Jim this look. For Some reason I read it as her "be jealous bitch" look. And I'm like "Oh Nyota he's jealous but not for the reason you think."

Amazing proof that one does not need fancy effects to do wonderful editing. Half the time cool effects just are there to cover up the fact that someone CAN'T edit. :P To me though, the mark of a great video editor is timing, and you have got that down! Also a wonderful ability to be creative in matching clips to lyrics.

I do realize it was three years since you wrote this comment, but I just had to point out that you're being a bit unfair. It's totally okay not to like Taylor Swift or this song, but for the reason that you feel that she's too old to write songs about high school? You don't mind if a fifty year old person writes a book about high school and teenage love, there is nothing wrong with that, but a 20 year old girl can't write a song about it? There's no difference!
Not only does Kirk have a particularly distasteful look on his face when he sees Spock and Uhura kissing, Uhura also gives Kirk a pointedly bitchy look afterwords.

I've been a K/S shipper pretty much since I knew what it was, but I always thought there wasn't much chemistry between any pairing (not K/S, not S/N) in the first movie. Anyways, I watched the second movie, decided to write some fanfiction about it, and happened to have this song on my iPod, and went OH YES this song is PERFECT. It's even more perfect for the second movie (spoilers!) but I had to go and see if there was a video to it already, and this! I love the transporting during the guitar.

Did you change the video? My favorite edit of yours is no longer in this version, where they are at the trial scene and it shifts focus quickly from Kirk to Spock in the distance -- it was absolutely perfect.
