PSA For all owners of this monitor!!! You further improve response time by switching picture mode to sRGB. Normally, even on overdrive level 3, there is a tiny amount of black smearing. But setting picture mode to sRGB will completely get rid of that black smearing, from my testing. There will still be some regular ghosting of course, no more than in other Picture Modes though, and it'll be MUCH less apparent when the black smearing isn't accentuating it. I was shocked to see the black smear completely disappear when I had the UFO ghosting test up while testing picture mode settings on my Mateview GT 34. And once again, stick to overdrive level 3. Level 4 introduces some bad overshooting. All in all, I'm super happy with this display. Even before finding out that response time would get better in sRGB mode, I was pretty happy with the response time for a VA panel. Way better than the AOC VA panels I've tried.
I bought mine just 1 week ago at Mexico, in Brazil we don't have this monitor. Really good monitor to study, work and play! Nothing to complain about it!

I've been using it (Huawei MateView GT 34) for about one week. Yesterday I realized that its adapter getting really hot. It even make the wooden table hot. I use Asus all in one for years with a bigger adapter and there's nothing here something like this. Is it acceptable, normal or is it a sign for something bad? What should I do?

If you are thinking of saving up some money and 10bit + all other features on the Mateview GT arent a big deal for you, just go with the Gigabyte. I think it is currently cheaper right now and will still give you the same feeling of immersion. But if youre not really in a pinch, i really do think that the mateview gt is worth every penny.

I know it's been 11 months since your comment, but I recently bought this monitor on a sale, and while there was a bit of black smearing initially, I found that if you set the Picture Mode to sRGB it'll COMPLETELY get rid of the black smearing. I was so surprised when I found out about that, and I have no idea why it can't reduce the black smearing in the other Picture modes when it can do it so well in sRGB mode. There's still a tiny bit of regular ghosting, but it's honestly a very small amount. Way better than other VA panels I've tested. Anyways, it's 11 months later, so you have probably bought another monitor by now, but I'm just so excited about this fix that I'm trying to share it on all the review videos I saw about the monitor before buying it, haha.

*PSA* this monitor CAN do 10 bit at 144+ hz all you need to do is add an displayID block with the original timings and a higher refresh rate i got mine up to 158.14, so yeah, why waste the advertised extra hertz when you can lose out on only 7... uwqhd va 158hz 10 bit freesync with hdr curved panel with great colors out the box and acceptable ghosting on level 3 for 400 bucks, not bad huawei *UPDATE* since this monitor will become more widespread over time (discounts, used market etc.) i see it as my duty to spread some info on tweaks ive found over time. -it is possible to go all the way to the advertised 165hz (and a bit above) with 10 bit (including hdr+freesync). so essentially as advertised. -i found it best to trim the freesync range to ~75-165hz. A LOT less flickering at the cost of MINIMAL stuttering at certain frequencies (youd have to be stutter-hunting to find it) if interested, i may share an EDID override in form of a .exe file. one would simply download, execute, restart pc and reset all settings for the monitor (as always, dont trust strangers on the internet, especially not with a .exe file. for the techsavvy i could share .bin files instead)

Have you tried changing the input source of the monitor? The one thing i experienced is that it doesnt automatically switch to what is connected to it. If you have tried that, check that your product could support display input thru the usb c (but i think it should). Re: mini dp, in general it should work like a normal dp but you might have to check the version of your mini dp too. I think for the dp, it has to be version 1.4 to run 165hz.

Cant say for sure coz im using a baseus light bar. But you can check and compate and if they look similar then it most definitely would work
