I just got this piece 2 days ago and it’s FANTASTIC. I agree with you about that Gal Gadot portrait, idk why people are saying that it doesn’t look like her because to me it looks spot on. A beautiful statue, QS definitely hit it out of the park with this one.
Love it and it has been a long time! I ordered mine from Spec Fiction as well on 5/4/21 and still waiting though I did get the notice it’s arriving soon. Can’t wait. I like the lasso and like you, if I can get it looking fluid enough, I think will look amazing. Disappointed about the shield as I could swear I saw a picture of it where its top edge was more at eye level. Gal Gadot pose for me at least for a while and display the alternate torso next to it maybe, along with the shield on/by the base as was suggested by other comments here. Great review and appreciated your honest impressions. They prepare me for what to expect and definitely amped to receive this soon. 👍
They shoulda had a small bullet flash/ricochet to attach to her arm guard. That woulda been cool. The comic portrait is awesome, as is Gadot's. Lasso is no bueno. Too thin. Overall this is probably the best WW sculpt I've ever seen. That price though...

Congrats, Jeff -- it's a beautiful piece. I still have no idea why Queen Studios designed it so that the shield completely hides the portrait -- what in the world were they thinking? I prefer the comic-based portrait; the movie-based portrait is lovely, but I just don't see Gal Gadot in it. But as I said, it's gorgeous, so either way she's going to display beautifully. A worthy addition to the Sanctuary!
Like you, I felt that the current design with the shield definitely blocked too much of the portrait. I would have bought it if they had put the shield in the right hand and sword in the left. For the money, they could have easily added another set of hands to put the shield in the right hand. Bummed they didn't and, because of that, I didn't buy it.
I like so much about this piece, but I ended up cancelling. The shield was covering too much of her face, and the lasso option didn't impress me because the lasso looks like a cheap piece of string. The portraits are gorgeous though. I wish they would have swapped the sword and shield hands.
Box looks looks small considering it contains 1x 1/4 statue 1x 1/4 switch-out torso and what appears to be a large base. Congrats to Queen Studios for pulling that off.

I was reluctant to put out money on a deposit for it in case it was delayed. I’ve got two fully paid Queen pieces(Wonder Woman 1/4 and Joker 1/4)at Spec that I’ve been waiting for for a very long time. Tying up money on these long term pre orders sometimes makes harder to jump in on stuff that’s currently available.
At first sight I really like it. But then as I spend more time looking at it my opinion changed quickly. The likeness is poor even if it looks good, the pose is very awkward, and the lasso cheapens the piece. The shield placement is ridiculous. Overall it looks nice but it’s got to many flaws for me. Thanks sharing your thoughts.
