I have had this engine for almost 60.000km in a 2021 530d. It was a perfect daily, efficient, tons of power, good sound and lots of fun. It felt much quicker than 286hp and needs less fuel than the A6 40TDI I am having now. I really miss the 530d!
@@Reptile1997 efficient, pretty reliable, cheap to maintain, great towing capacity. Just because it became a trend to hate diesel cars, you have to acknowledge the positives of diesel engines.
I got exactly the same. God 286bhp and close to 700nm it really throws this car. It is very quick for it size and not having v8 twin turbo. I got xdrive as well
I got 730d xdrive 2021. It does 0-100kmh in 5.4 seconds. The comfort is amazing. And at 120/140kmh 6 liters of diesel. This is insane. Did the trip London to Warsaw a year ago with 3 people and fully loaded, on autobahn max speed (where had no speed limit) the rest 150/160kmh. Got 8.2 liter average. Oh and when driving normal on motorway I managed to get 1100km of range.
@@Automann-TV gerne 😁 hab selbst den 730d G11 RWD mit 265 hp, braucht ca. 18 sek. auf 100-200 - hab mich immer gewundert, wieviel schneller der 730d mit 286 hp BiTurbo ist. Daumen hoch 👍🏼
@@rekaarnes no, the pre-LCI with single turbo and no mild hybrid was 265 bhp and 620 nm, as Automann stated. The LCI introduced mild hybrid. The 30d is single turbo, the 40d biturbo
@@Anders_HeymSR30 wrong. There are plenty LCI models with 265 hp. The single turbo 265 hp engine was dropped from 07/2020 onwards and replaced by a downtuned Biturbo version with 286 hp. BMW is such a good liar. So many models, hardly some specification is correct. Rubbish like 320d E90, says 8.6 sec, but in reality is 10 sec. F01 7 series says 6.3 sec. It does around 7.5 sec 🤣

6-cylinder diesel is probably the most reasonable and logical choice for this size of a car.
Diesel cars in 2022 ?

Jo, kann ich absolut bestätigen👌
For such a big car and "just" 265 hp it accelerates very very good. BMW.
Very good video of ‘normal cars’ would love to see a test of 330D with 286hp
Best everyday limo 🤙⭐️
You got me so used to seeing exotic and high performance cars that filming now in a regular car feels more exotic. 🤗🤣❤️

Hello! NICE channel! amazing video. I'm your fan +👍🔔
That's really enough performance, even on autobahn.
265 hp/620 nm (single turbo) bis BJ 07/2020, danach 286 hp/650 nm (biturbo), unerheblich von LCI oder pre-LCI bei allen 730d G11
Danke für die Richtigstellung😁👍

Can you also test a 540i LCi ?
50d he was the best

@1:41 the 730d LCI is 286 bhp and 650 nm, due to mild hybrid.
Not due to mild hybrid, due to BiTurbo vs Single Turbo.

Barely moving... not an acceptable motor for this car nor this class... 0-100 KM equivalent to a civic?
Diesels still exist? pathetic...
reliable, torque and economical. Still superior to petrol
Looks good but the price of fuel want destroy combustion engines. That is sadly. Keep the engines
