What i like the most about this video is you guys learned really fast and your pronunciation also great. Like it when you say ‘kuih tepung pelita’ 😂. You’re not just walk around and feel the good environment but you guys learned while travelling. Great ! Feeling appreciated to watch outsiders enjoyed their moments in our beloved country. Thumbs up !

Thanks for such a lovely comment. As we are in Malaysia for so long, it would have been rude not to have learnt about the culture here. Plus we love learning new things everyday. We are glad that this comes through on the camera.

Beer For Breakfast I don't celebrate aidilfitri in Kuala Lumpur. If not I would love to have you both celebrating aidilfitri with me and family. Hopefully some Malaysians here get to be your host. But you can also go to our Prime Minister's open house on the first day of Aidilfitri. It's usually held every year and everyone is welcome.
Just a suggestion, if you wanna buy clothes (baju raya), go to Jalan TAR (near LRT station Masjid Jamek). On Thursday night they will usually have massive sale. 😬

Just fyi, daging = meat in general. Beef is daging lembu ... lembu = cow, so beef = cow's meat. But in Malaysia, in general, when someone says daging, it means beef... lamb/mutton will be daging kambing, where kambing means goat...

Wow I really envy you guys being there at this time of the year. The best time for exploring in all the bazaars. Another tradition which I miss when I was living there is that after the hair raya (Eid-ul - fitr) the Malaysians celebrate the whole month by having what is called 'open house' where friends, neighbours are all invited to homes to enjoy food. In Putrajay the Prime minister as well as the deputy prime minister will Invite the public to their Palace for a variety of food & drinks. The Malaysians are truly very generous & sincere in nature. I love them

So glad to see you girls are enjoying your day under the sun, keep yourself hydrated! Sometimes KL can be extra sunny and sometimes it can be wet and damped. Just a tip, whenever your in KL holding a big camera beside the streets full of motorbike there might be a chance it can be snatched, so just be vigilant and careful. I'm KL born and raised and I think you guys need to experience EID AIDILFITRI once ramadhan is over, it is a huge festival!

Actually you should try Rendang which is one of the traditional and important cuisine during hari raya celebration. It delicious and more fragrance than curry because of the ingredient such as turmeric leaves inside it. Love both of you. 😊

You guys should stop by to Uptown Danau Kota or Masjid Jamek at night to see how we do Hari Raya shopping. At Danau Kota, there's a lot of food vendors too.

Another interesting thing to do is to sign up for one of those Malay cooking classes on Airbnb 😁 you’ll get to cook Malay dishes and enjoy the meal (and time) with you Malay hosts.
Also check out pasar tani (farmer’s market) - after eid. You will find amazing Malay food and traditional Malay produce there.
