- In part two of the USS Arizona build I start on the painting process and final assembly to complete the project. It took my about twice as long as a build normally takes because of the amount of modifications that I had to do, but in the end I am coming away from this project with more knowledge and experience that I can put into future projects. I hope you enjoyed watching this build as much as I did building it.
Very nice build!! I like the stenciles for extra deepth in the paint work. I will try that. Again very well done!!
S T U N N I N G end result...and an amazing representation of the ship that does it the utmost justice...respect for the work put into it, and final finish, just a beautiful piece of work all round. Fantastic!!!!
Cheers from Sydney Aus!!!!
Wonderful build, looks amazing. Thanks for sharing, model on my friend! Johnny👍👍
I thought using those stencils for pre-shading was brilliant! Never seen that done before, But I think I'd paint a medium gray instead of white so the red wouldn't take on a cranberry tint. Unless that's the shade you were aiming for. Also, I was hoping you'd do a close up of the hull so we could see how the shading turned out.
excellent, brilliant, thank you so much !
Great Job..!
Congratularons...a Lot of típs...Tks..!
My grandfather who is 92 was on the Ogala on Dec. 7th and is curios why you chose that music for such an historical subject.
Please tell your grandfather thank you for his service. Honestly I don’t know why I chose that music, and it was a long time ago. I also don’t remember the music I chose without looking at the video. Perhaps I should have been more intentional with the music choice. 🤷🏼♂️
wow work of art.
I just purchased one of these and i was wondering, where i could buy that exact same aftermarket wooden deck kit?
You can find it on eBay. Search 1:350 USS Arizona deck.
Nice work. What did you use for the boat straps?
I just used some twine
where did you get those spotting stencils and what are they called? Beautiful build
😊
What did you use for the deck?
I used a kit that I found on eBay. I can remember the name of it now. It wasn’t expensive. Maybe $18 or so.
@@avion34 I actually just bought the kit. Its called "1/350 USS Arizona BB-39 1941 Wooden Deck w/Metal Chain for HobbyBoss HB86501"
How is the fit of this deck material…any modifications?
