- Hello, my loves! After taking some time off to finish up my work in London, I finally made it to #edinburgh , a city that has been on my bucket list for a long time. David and I fell in love with #scotland 's peaceful and stunning beauty, as well as its friendly people. It was just what I needed, and I hope you enjoy the video.
In this video, I will take you on a tour of some of Edinburgh's most fascinating and picturesque spots. Our first stop is the National Museum of Scotland, which is a treasure trove of history and culture. With collections from various older museums in Edinburgh, the museum contains highlights such as national archaeological collections, medieval artefacts, and displays on natural history, geology, art, science, and technology. With over 8,000 artefacts, including Dolly the sheep and Elton John's stage costumes, this museum is a must-visit.
Next, we explore the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, which is the second oldest garden of its kind in Britain. After that, we take a stroll along Princes Street, Edinburgh's main thoroughfare, which is lined with colourful gardens and elegant shops, including the world-famous Jenners of Edinburgh.
We also visit the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art (Modern One), which boasts an impressive collection of paintings by Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Rene Magritte, Joan Miró, and Max Ernst, as well as sculptures by Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, and David Hockney. Don't miss the extensive grounds of the gallery, which are also worth exploring.
For breathtaking views of the city, we climb Calton Hill and visit the Scottish National Monument. After that, we head to the charming Dean Village, which is like a step back in time to old Edinburgh. We also explore the picturesque CIRCUS LANE, Advocate's Close, and White Horse Close, a pretty residential courtyard at the foot of the Royal Mile. Finally, we end our tour at Victoria Street, a colorful and vibrant street full of independent shops and cafes.
