I searched for the JP version to play and tbh it is so much better. The changes on EN ver made the story have plot holes and some interactions are weird lmao. I don't know everything about the story, but it makes more sense on JP.
I'm glad that anime and manga games no longer do this when getting localized in the west. If someone doesn't want to be spoiled they could buy the game, but read the manga before playing it or buy the game after reading those events in the manga.
basically feels like a second game at this point with the amount of changes lol, but playing the english release even when I was a kid, it felt like things were change. But I didnt know it was to this degree
This is cool didn't know this about the game but it would have been nice if you would have shown the things you talked about and not just mention the difference with random background clips besides the intro of course and compare them to each other maybe
Thanks, and some of the quests and whatnot were a bit later in the game and didn't have the time to get to there, but for next time I do a video like this I'll try to get to whatever point or at least show a image or two relating to what im talking about
What if they rereleased the game and have it to where people could choose how they want the game to have, give people an option to play whichever version before a play through begins
yea the second is pretty similar between regions since its got a game only story and by that point the english version was caught up in terms of canon content to the japanse version
The game already can't take place in the Canon timeline even in the Japanese version because both Sasuke and Lee are out of the hospital and on active duty whilst Tsunade is shown to be Hokage. This contradicts the fact that Lee was crippled until the surgery that Tsunade performed on him AFTER Sasuke had already left the village so all 3 cannot be inside and active in the village at this point in the timeline without contradicting something.
@@sgtspicy5216 Well Sasuke was also out of the Hospital in the Land of Tea Arc until he got hospitalized again, so at least there is some precedence for it. And I don't remember Lee being in this game at all.
@@92Beyo im talking about the Japanese version of the game man, the opening cinematic literally has all of the Konoha Genin in the Hokage tower. And even if we're talking about the Land of Tea arc, Lee was still crippled during that time.
The gameplay is the exact same a few added scenes don’t make the game better.. it just makes more “sense” to you guys but if the gameplay is the exact same idk what makes the Japanese version so much better besides added story information especially when the game plays the exact same way in both versions

I spent so many hours on the second game. I loved it so much, it was my first "3-D" Naruto game.
Same for me, spent a lot of in single player and coop with my bro
Great video, the changes in the US version definitely drag the game down a bit compared to the Japanese version
Yea, while I still had fun with the game it's really sadden to see all the changes. I get why but it still sucks
They actually put a lot of effort to help English audiences avoid spoilers. 🤣

I Love this Magnific Game
it is pretty fun with a nice story

Yea I really wish this along with the other ps2 games get re released at some point, especially this entry
Wegional diffewences
Wasengan
Did they also make changes for the second game? Or are both the english and japenese version the same?
yea the second is pretty similar between regions since its got a game only story and by that point the english version was caught up in terms of canon content to the japanse version
These changes basically made the game impossible to take place in the timeline. Really unnecessary.
yea true. I remember as a kid I'd try and try to put this on a timeline but gave up after a while since it made no sense haha

Even Japanese seems a better version but the gameplay still feels repetitive.
Yea the Japanese version has the most content and and the story makes more sense. It is a simple beatem up which is fair

Can we use japanese voice in europe version?
Nope, the same goes for the north american version.
GAWA ahahah xD
