Chapter 17: You know now. That the manor is a nexus where time has fractured. Different times coexist, their moments layered and intertwined, unfolding simultaneously. Past, present and future blur within its flaming walls, as if history itself is happening all at once, bound together in a single, twisted reality, a personal hell. With a final insight that it all stems from Victor. At a moment before his death he was captured by a dark force and forced to be the “power” that keeps the Inferno Manor alive while he endured all the bad moments he created throughout his life. Ever since, the lands that surround it including the freak show have been under his rule whether it’s wanted or not. The darkness brings in warriors to taunt and attempt to slay Victor so that his soul can be free. Once he is slain, he’ll go back to his normal life to the moment before his death to meet with his original fate. It is a dark trick for both victor and the warriors. As the darkness give him great power to slay and feed off the warriors. As you walk through the tunnel you think back on all the things you’ve seen starting from the moment you met Victor. Do you feel comfortable continuing your adventure with many more mysteries and a possible fate sealed by unknown forces without your steward? You approach the end of the tunnel. Seeing a bright light, you can’t tell if your heart dances or panics. Yet you still push forward like the courageous, resilient and powerful being you have been all your life. Exiting the tunnel and entering a field of more flowers from the gorgeous breath taking flower field behind the manor. Swords and spears stand from the ground. Along with more weapons, shields, and armor pieces of past warriors. You see Victor In the distance, on his knees looking up at the sky. He’s wearing his own set of armor, a black gothic armor set with a hooded cape attached to his helmet that almost resembles a black wolf. “Isn’t it all beautiful?” Victor says as he stands. Being shocked by hearing him speak for the first time. Victor looks in your direction and draws his sword. A shiny and black blade with a white streak going down the middle presenting a glow. “Flame’s in my heart give me a light of false hope. Everything eventually dies though. In this moment, will it be you or me and the horrific beauty of my inferno?” He says, while pointing his sword toward you and standing still as a statue. You’re being challenged to a battle. What expression is he making under the helmet? You look back at the manor. Taking one more look as if it may be the last time you’ll ever see anything for the rest of eternity. You can see freak show in the distance. Looking back, the both of you have a stare down before the battle begins. A battle with “Victor, The Ruler Of Inferno Manor”.
