First - what is a Palestinian? Historically, there has never been a country called Palestine. There has never been a Palestinian language? The general area has been referred to as Palestine - in the same manner as it has been called the Levant. Why is it that none of the Arabic countries been willing to accept the Palestinians.
That's one of the problems these days, is that there are too many people charging into these causes, trying to satisfy their hero complex. Yet they have no real clue what they are signing up for, or if the cause itself is actually just. That when the truth does come out, they would end up paying in ways that they would be forced to accept.
I really hate when people say a two state solution when one literally already exists it’s called Israel and Jordan. And btw When Israel offered to give the legal Israel territory back after the war Jordan refused and gave up rights to the land, and still to this day dose not want the territory. More importantly Jordan is 90% Palestinian, they do not need a new country already have a country it’s called Jordan and they can freely immigrate there.
The two-state solution was a non-starter from the beginning. The Jews see Israel as non-negotiable. They must have a Jewish homeland to prevent another Holocaust. They have no problem with others living in a broader diaspora, but they must have a safe place if those other countries become hostile. The Palestinians also see this as a non-starter. This was their land. They were kicked off of it by British colonial leaders who then sold it to the Jews, who Allah says are to be converted or destroyed. Neither side is willing to negotiate, because both feel they must have control of the same land. Israel keeps trying to trade away land (West Bank, Golan Heights, etc) for peace, but the Palestinians refuse to stop the intifadas (guerrilla warfare with religious approval). While I did have sympathy for the Palestinians who got kicked off their land after the world war, we're now 3 generations out from those people. The current Palestinians are not refugees from land they never lived on. They're people who are using a transgenerational grievance as an excuse. They could choose to adapt (ie integrate into Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, or any of the other surrounding Sunni Muslim countries. They refuse, and they're well funded to do it, because they're a broader wedge to lay claim to Jerusalem which is done with the intent to deny Jews and Christians control of it. I have some sympathy for the current Muslims living in Israel. They will never have majority rule of that country, and being in permanent minority status means your interests can be disregarded at will in the "democratic" process. Majority wins and they will never be allowed to become the majority. The solution is not rocket attacks on civilians or slinging rocks at IDF soldiers. The solution is emigration, but that's a very tough choice to make - and worthy of genuine sympathy: damned if they do, damned if they don't. No easy solutions.

First - what is a Palestinian? Historically, there has never been a country called Palestine. There has never been a Palestinian language? The general area has been referred to as Palestine - in the same manner as it has been called the Levant. Why is it that none of the Arabic countries been willing to accept the Palestinians.
That's one of the problems these days, is that there are too many people charging into these causes, trying to satisfy their hero complex. Yet they have no real clue what they are signing up for, or if the cause itself is actually just. That when the truth does come out, they would end up paying in ways that they would be forced to accept.
I really hate when people say a two state solution when one literally already exists it’s called Israel and Jordan. And btw When Israel offered to give the legal Israel territory back after the war Jordan refused and gave up rights to the land, and still to this day dose not want the territory. More importantly Jordan is 90% Palestinian, they do not need a new country already have a country it’s called Jordan and they can freely immigrate there.
The two-state solution was a non-starter from the beginning. The Jews see Israel as non-negotiable. They must have a Jewish homeland to prevent another Holocaust. They have no problem with others living in a broader diaspora, but they must have a safe place if those other countries become hostile. The Palestinians also see this as a non-starter. This was their land. They were kicked off of it by British colonial leaders who then sold it to the Jews, who Allah says are to be converted or destroyed. Neither side is willing to negotiate, because both feel they must have control of the same land. Israel keeps trying to trade away land (West Bank, Golan Heights, etc) for peace, but the Palestinians refuse to stop the intifadas (guerrilla warfare with religious approval).
While I did have sympathy for the Palestinians who got kicked off their land after the world war, we're now 3 generations out from those people. The current Palestinians are not refugees from land they never lived on. They're people who are using a transgenerational grievance as an excuse. They could choose to adapt (ie integrate into Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, or any of the other surrounding Sunni Muslim countries. They refuse, and they're well funded to do it, because they're a broader wedge to lay claim to Jerusalem which is done with the intent to deny Jews and Christians control of it.
I have some sympathy for the current Muslims living in Israel. They will never have majority rule of that country, and being in permanent minority status means your interests can be disregarded at will in the "democratic" process. Majority wins and they will never be allowed to become the majority. The solution is not rocket attacks on civilians or slinging rocks at IDF soldiers. The solution is emigration, but that's a very tough choice to make - and worthy of genuine sympathy: damned if they do, damned if they don't.
No easy solutions.

I live in Israel and the government is a lot closer to the Leftism currently being espoused by the regime currently being led by Strokey Joe Xiden. This is, of course, because Naftali Bennett (who is now out of power after his coalition collapsed and out of government completely because he's a major wuss) acted more right-wing than Netanyahu, then when he won the election, took all of the ministers in his formerly center-right party and joined a coalition with a bunch of far-left parties. This coalition barely lasted a year before the ministers started demonstrating how royally pissed off they were at him and bolted for Likud.

AIPAC does use money to influence legislators and their choices regarding our relationship with Israel. It's one of their stated goals. They also campaign hard against candidates who vote against things like aid and policy changes they perceive to be harmful or even not beneficial to Israel. Not only is it not controversial, there are many Jewish Americans who feel the same way. It is not anti semetic to say so, and to pretend that it is is a simple minded attempt to avoid talking responsibility for bad behavior.
