I'm surprised at how meaty the production is on all Pure Love's songs. They've got a much more muscular sound than most mainstream rock that's around right now.

I think Frank is a man who LOVED the early 80s with a passion and is a real punk, not the popular version of a punk. I can see him being frustrated with 'punk' for the rebal kid with money, the one who has a green mohawk and leather jacket with spikes. Frank to me seems like the guy who enjoys punk for the more working class stiffs, the adults who have life experince. Not kids who is angry because its a part of their scene and its cool to them.
Frank Carter is a brilliant singer!!!he could sing for Alice in Chains,there s a resemblance of his voice here with that of d late great Layne Staley!!!!you rock man!!!!

What a twist.. I came here by random suggestion, not knowing anything about this band. After a minute or so I was thinking to myself "That short haired guy looks a lot like the ex-singer from Gallows". So I made a search of this band and to my surprise this actually is Frank's new band. So... this is what he's been up to, quite interesting and fresh change.
I'm hoping it's a longer cut on the album, because I really want more of this song.

I was hoping it would be a little heavier. Not really my cup of tea, but hey Gallows are doing great with Wade and Frank's making music he loves. Everyone's a winner!
Go listen to Gallows, the band he was originally from. The last album they did that he acted as lead vocalist (Grey Britain), is a fantastic album that mainly discusses the state of Britain. Although it also includes songs about other topics, such as 'The Vulture', which is about children who die before their parents. But, as he sings in Bury My Bones (from this band) he states that he's sick of singing about hate because it's not going to make a difference. Hence the name Pure Love.

You are spot on... What I actually don't understand is how when Frank Carter left Gallows, he was banging on about how he was going to sell "a million albums" and not really about how he was going to make a piece of music/art that he was proud of.
I think he tried to sell out, but no one fuckin' cared that much, and now he is fucked. The market is already completely saturated with this sound.
