they do, but from what i experienced in the beta it's just a static sound fixed to the corners, that activates roughly depending on where your car is.
it'll sound like you're blasting out of the corner, even if you've spun out on the apex and are standing still.

They had Portugal and China last year but they probably either don’t see the point because while it would be cool and people would use it they would only use it for so long and F1 probably wants them to focus on present cars. Licensing might be why some of the tracks are not there, so you might just need to lower your expectations.

i think the simple change of having different effects each season that influences car development is going to make the game feel so much more alive instead of the same dull grind every year.

@@ark14700Yes. But they could be better. The best(not motosport) career mode is from Football Manager. They should and can do many similar features available on FM.
Laser scanned tracks, more creative control features, realisitic graphics should be the main priorities.
Like with 2023, nothing I’ve seen so far makes me want to part with £60-£70 of my money. I’ve seen mods people have made in which the on-board graphics look real! There needs to be a huge re-vamp. Not sure if its EA’s influence or people at Codemasters not pushing boundaries anymore

I mean, realistically the F1 games haven't changed much at all since F1 2016, so I'd say this is Codies' fault in this case. The only two major changes they had made since 2016 was F2 - which is a really nice addition, and MyTeam - which is just a normal career, but with 11th team on which you can plaster some generic livery and a teammate

They could have done a lot of things that would make the game better but they simply refuse to. Sponsors/name/customization in helmets and race suit for example (there's a million other things they can do, just go to the comments and scroll twice)

You hate the *AAA video game + publishers industry. Indie games like Stardew Valley or others get free updates all the time. Hell, even a race sim like RFactor 2 keeps on updating the game/handling/graphics/etc for free every now and then. Even years after release.

Great... R&D so far looks more or less the same, that means if they do not remove the financial side of things, teams like Williams, Haas and other teams are still gonna be locked from upgrading more advanced R&D upgrades and won't be able to catch up with teams like Red Bull or Ferrari that aren't locked from upgrading those parts. If they remove this thing i'll be very happy, but to me the R&D chart looks completely the same, so i have some doubts. The last time R&D chart worked properly in driver career mode was in F1 2019, there you could see teams like Williams starting with nothing but catching up later a lot.

Race order is locked down by licensing. Tracks pay for a specific spot on the calendar

Something that would make the Game more realistic would be to add for every driver at least one or 2 celebration for podium or victory, just like in fifa when you score a goal. It would be amazing to see iconic drivers célébration when they get out the car and when they set on the podium

Another cool feature could be having fans, so you have to meet expectation set by the fans at the start it’s not too hard but as you get more fans by completing seasons and meeting expectations and team goals the expectations become more if you meet then you get more recognition if you fail you lose recognition 😊

@@StickyPlastersthey would need to first clean off the whole tracks and then run multiple times over the circuit to scan then have to fix the track so there is no clips. So imagine if they did it not at a race weekend, on a street circuit. Logistic nightmares. I mean purposely made ones would be possible if the circuit is booked out for like 3 weeks to scan though. Idk if the purpose made circuits even have enough leeway. Also I think codemasters just believe that using already optimized tracks are way easier than to scan a brand new one which can create issues

I like the season modifier. May give me an actual reason to continue beyond a season. Imagine r&d got insanely close between teams and u decide on durability can be upgraded for the year. Will be a chaotic season. I know its before release but hearing the 23 sound design is not the best sign. I know the bundles may be changed for launch but I pray it ain't identical.
You know what, adding existing circuits like Portimao, Hockenheim or Viernam would be awesome so you can make a customized calendar

The improvements are great, they look fun (especially R&D modifications which I used in the games before by changing the R&D gain modifier yearly), but if it is everything I don't know it worth it. Like if F2 still as buggy as it was years from now the start of Driver Career would be a pain, and many many small improvements are also necessary
The R&D challenges are absolute bs. Why come up with these punishments/hurdles instead of doing the opposite. “You hired Adrian Newey - Aeoro upgrades are 20% more effective “

Can players now personalize their driver helmets more? For example, choose the type of color? (Matte, Glossy, etc.) This has been a request of the community for over 2 years. It is also possible in MyTeam. So why not in the driver career?
Gameplay wise it does make sense to just ignore the Williams, Aston and Sauber driver academies, the latter two ignore their’s

It won't be. It's all window dressing and nothing really will be that different underneath it. The fact that your driver has attribute points (which is a huge change) and yet they didn't tell us about that shows that these aren't going to be meaningful changes sadly

Watched the video and read the comments. In summary the game looks and plays very much like the previous one or two. I don't want to drive as a classic driver, I want to driver their classic cars! Plus no mention if they have sorted out VR yet. Best to wait until others has bought and reported back and even then wait until it is on sale for £4.99.
I know you could do Grand Prix races/Grand Prix Season as the actual drivers last year, but this Career mode where you play as the actual drivers is somewhat new correct? Maybe they took it out of the game a few years ago and are now bringing it back? We all know they like to take away features just to celebrate when they bring them back LOL

Nothing changed, you just changed up the UI and called it a new game. In F1 25, add the ability to walk around the paddock and buy a home or go to the gym just like NBA 2K does.
