Paul Stanley is one of the smartest frontmen in rock and roll, and in general. I’ve been a fan since I was 9, am now 50. But he speaks honest truth here and that is so refreshing to see. I have massive respect for this man, and thanks Richard Marx for putting these out there. Love to all of you.
BTW, I’ve met paul 3 times and it’s always been a pleasure. Down to earth, just as you see him here.

Absolutely!! I saw one of those shows last summer and it was PHENOMENAL what they can still do all these years later. It was also a 2 hour show with at least 20 songs. There are bands half their age that are headliners also but will only do an hour and a half show at the most. The one thing that many people forget is that Kiss is one band that has been around for almost fifty years that has been an active band the whole time. There are many bands that have been around for a long time, but there are years in their history that they were not active on putting out albums and touring.

Even "experts" have an agenda. Take Fauci for example... what will it affect HIS life if the country's economy continues to be shutdown indefinitely?? ZERO!!! He'll always have a job so what does he care?? More people have died from other virus strains such as H1N1 etc... I don't generally subscribe to conspiracy theories, but they couldn't get President Trump with impeachment - so let's create hysterical madness to tank the economy which will make him (in their minds) lose re-election. I really don't put anything past those who want to destroy President Trump. They've been trying since he was elected... so do you really think this isn't just one more try??? I do. Look at the death rates thus far- it hasn't really lived up to the hype. Face it people - the powers that be (CDC, FDA, WHO, AND GOVERNMENT OPERATIVES WHO HAVE HAD POWER FOR DECADES) DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH.... they care about their own needs. President Trump has shed light on the corruption and they DESPISE him for it.
As far as Paul and Richard talking about the sadness of people dying alone without loved ones around... please... this happens everywhere, everyday, all the time. As a nurse I can say that's nothing new.
Paul is correct in that there are different agendas and spins and the truth is not necessarily always represented accurately. He is also correct that "the news" is now often opinion - not straight reporting. That is why now MORE THAN EVER it is incumbent on you to educate YOURSELF. Look at history and statistics and THEN form your OWN opinion. Do not be a sheep and simply take on SOMEONE ELSE'S opinion. This is part of being a responsible American - Freedom. If you only absorb and regurgitate what someone else tells you, then you are no better than a good little Nazi.
President Trump pulled funding from the clearly corrupt WHO. Do you know the backgrounds of the heads of such organizations? Do you know that the U.S. has been supporting the WHO for proactive protection and they (WHO) are more interested in covering up for China than caring about anyone else.
Maybe not a perfect analogy but would you pay (and continue to pay) for an alarm system in your home that didn't work? Uh...no. you'd research and re-assess your need and the ROI. That's exactly what President Trump is doing; as he should and ANY President should. That is his job.
Study and think for yourself. If you have no foundation of historical facts, your opinion means nothing. Question EVERYTHING. Yes, gaining knowledge can be frightening. It's so much easier to stay asleep and follow someone else. But America was founded by leaders, not followers.

Most bands that have had a long career have taken breaks between albums and tours when Kiss never stopped . Paul Stanley's singing might not be as strong as it used to be, but for at least the first thirty years of the touring Kiss did , Paul Stanley's singing was phenomenal. There are many singers that did not have that staying power for even ten years of their career.

I appreciate Stanley and Marx taking the time to share their conversation... I'm a big KISS fan, being a teen in the 70s and seeing that mania as it happened is unforgettable. Having said that, it's frustrating listening to two guys sitting in Beverly Hills estates taking definitive positions on this. I agree with Paul in that this is serious virus that we must respect -- I'm also looking after my elderly parents and asking them not to venture outdoors if at all possible, and to allow me to see to their needs (groceries and/or anything else they need) -- but we're now at the point that the economic decimation for tens of millions of Americans is making it VERY hard to 'be 100% on board' with a national shutdown. I'm very fortunate in that I don't have financial concerns (nor am I in the same economic stratosphere as either of these stars), but there are people who are losing EVERYTHING, who do NOT have multiple homes in ELITE communities that carry NO MORTGAGE, who WERE paying obscene amounts of money for health insurance before they lost their job/business, who have average American obligations like a mortgage, car notes, groceries, utilities, and who are LOST right now. In being as respectful as I can be... it's relatively easy to sit in ONE OF your mansions (with no mortgage) with unlimited money, acres of space, unlimited toys to occupy your time, and most importantly, not a financial concern in the world regarding what happens when this lockdown ends. When this does end, Paul Stanley goes back on tour with KISS and makes multiple millions (and I don't begrudge him that WHATSOEVER), has ZERO healthcare concerns, no mortgages, no car payments, no ECONOMIC worries at all. So, the people who are not completely on board with Stanley's 'everybody has to be 100% on board,' position, I think, are well within their rights to be skeptical of this process. I did NOT say they should be skeptical about the virus -- again, that is very real and very serious for some people -- but NYC and Seattle are NOT like much of the rest of America, and commerce HAS TO start again soon.

There are many Kiss fans that don't understand why there are so many giving Paul such a hard time about him lip singing. Years ago he would criticize every band or artist that did lip sing big time. He even said that Ace Frehley and Peter Criss should quit the music business since they can't perform anymore like they used to. He was very harsh on all these people years ago , and now he is doing the exact same thing but it is ok for him to do it. That is why Paul is getting such a huge lashing from many Kiss fans. He used to say that bands should call it a day when they no longer can do a live show properly. If he wasn't as harsh as he was about it, he would have never got the abuse he did these past few years.

Kiss and Aerosmith toured together back in '03 and it was not a good scene. The two bands did not get on very well. Then Tyler did an interview several years later basically dissing Kiss. Paul reacted with some choice comments of his own. So yeah, you won't be hearing any praise about Steven Tyler from Paul Stanley.
