Thank you all for watching! Stay tuned and SUBSCRIBE to the official PortuguesePai RUclips Channel to always be kept informed when I make a video or React to moments from games played on stream, to content put out across the interwebs.
Although they are trending all over in Tik Tok, I think you are the first RUclips reacting to them Thanks for this reaction.
Thanks for the kind words! I appreciate you enjoying the reaction, these kids are awesome. TikTok is a scary place to be 😆, but I'm thankful to have a viewer who introduced me to the Yerushalayim video, which led to a commentator like you to the Galeh song/vid.
@@PortuguesePai Thank you for your kindness especially at such a time when people like Kanye west is hurting us. It is exciting to see someone like you who respects and values Jewish people
I have been a huge Miami Boys Choir Fan for my whole life and I'm loving that other people are getting into this. In my opinion the stuff that's going viral isn't even when MBC was at their best. The stuff they did in the early '90s, the huge performances they put on were even grander and amazing in my opinion. If you want to see the best one in my opinion, it would be "Bayom Hahu" i dont know if it was posted on RUclips yet, but i would watch that if it does.
Or the original Lo Yisa Goy, spectacular

MBC posted bayom hahu on their channel, great nostalgia
There have been many groups and soloists over four and a half decades of this choirs existence and Y. Begun has done an amazing job with the music, the singing and the choreography.
The vast majority of the songs over all the years are either based off of prayers or scripture which is why there is a real connection with and a lot of feeling for the words they sing.
To answer your question, while most of the boys don't remain in music, there have been a few prominent Jewish singers that have come out of the group. Thanks for reacting to MBC videos!
Thanks for the info! It's been really cool to get to see/hear these kids since I didn't group up within the religion yet still enjoy it even though I don't understand it. Speaks volumes to the powers that be
Of course he had to rewind for that Naftali Jacobson solo. I've been friends with him since we were like five, and he always had a powerhouse of a voice. He's also one of the most humble down to earth people you'll ever meet, while still having a bit of a goofy sense of humor. (I'll refrain from embarrassing him by sharing details.)
Naftali is amazing. LOVE HIM!
Keep doing what your doing!!! Your personality is very likable!! Your channel will explode….!!!
Hey awesome video. I grew up religious Jewish listening to these kids. Neighbors and friends were in the choir. There is an alumni video already out. And yes many of these guys did continue singing. And btw you did say “galeh” correctly (enough) 😎😜. Hit me up if you want more info or links on these legends.
I think that's super cool that you're getting to enjoy remembering the music and what it means. I'm definitely going to have to check out some of the alumni vids of these guys. And thank you, I'm trying my hardest not to butcher any words 😆.
Hi. I am a non religious Jew from Israel. Just wondered, when you were kids you weren't exposed to pop music, like I guess you weren't allowed to watch MTV and such. So all the dance moves are quit unique and unusual to what was popular at that time. Am I correct?
@@dorontefron2604 probably
@@dorontefron2604 Yes, we are exposed to pop music and watch MTV 😊
It's just not our dominant influence or main focus growing up.
But it's not hidden from us in any way. I watched it all the time growing up. It really depends on the parents choice for their own kids 😊
@@dorontefron2604 I'll add to this that MBC was the standard for Jewish boys for many years. Even if you saw others doing better stuff, they weren't *like* you. This was what we mostly related to as kids.
I love this , your reactions are so fun to watch 😆I’m a religious Jew and grew up with these mbc songs playing in the background while my mother cooked for Shabbos (the sabbath)
recommended you to see this video:
Mix: Yavo (Live version) - MIAMI BOYS CHOIR
Is a beautiful song and David, your best singer, also my favorite sings a solo part.
5:35 the one in the middle is David and he’s basically the fan favorite
Ya, the kid is a great singer. They all are, but I really like his tone in these videos
@@PortuguesePai you should react to a video called "MIAMI BOYS A PARIS" next, at about 2 mins and 30 secs into the video it shows their performance of "Yovoh" another really catchy song and David has a solo in it
Galeh means Reveal.
The boys are singing,
"God, please REVEAL (galeh) your Glory before
The eyes of the whole world!"
You're reaction represents all that right now found out about this group
Nice video:) I love how you pronounce these Hebrew words:)))))
Haha, im trying my man! Thanks for the kind words 😀
ANOTHER DAVID STAN
I recommend you to also react to “yavoh” by Miami boys choir it’s so good😭
(watch the live version)
For your question about whether any of the kids stayed in music, there are some who did. There's an a cappella group called the Maccabeats does holiday parody songs as well as more standard songs, and one of the founders was Chanina Abromowitz, who had been in Miami Boys Choir. Two of his younger brothers are in these videos -- he'd already aged out when these were filmed.
Shalom terrific seeing this for the first time Bravo your humor is much appreciated in these days of covid & complications in our world 🌎 thanks
I dont understand shit but damn this is some good disco vibes 🕺
the teacher has a nice voice as well, you can hear the experience
Over 500 boys in and out of Miami Boys since 1977. Yerachmiel Begun has composed the songs (all liturgical) & dances since the beginning. You miss the best ones because of lack of videos in earlier years
Most of there words in there songs are passages for the Hebrew Torah or Jewish prayers
Now that's cool. Growing up catholic, we had a few songs and stuff, but it was majority the priest who "sang" them and they were nothing compared to this. Simple hallelujah here and there 😂
@@PortuguesePai To be clear, these songs are not sung with these tunes during services. There are some tunes which Yerachmiel Begun (the choirmaster for MBC) has written which are commonly used during prayers, but they tend to be the slower songs rather than these disco/dance beat tunes.
I mean, not the Bar-Mitzvahs, but the weddings though... SLAY!
GALEH = show us
This word come from Hebrew language.
"God show us your kingdom..."
That's awesome. I'm learning so much from the Jewish community/ these videos. Really appreciate it!
make sure to watch the historic interview yerachmiel begun just did on the nachum segal show
I’m very surprised he didn’t respond to binyamin echoing galeh at 7:12!!
oh there's going to be a new concert tomorrow...
Legit? Is it with the Alumni kids or a new batch of the young guys? Also, is it like streamable?
Probably a new batch of young guys as they are always training up new guys and older boys are aging out. They tend to do concerts around holiday times so Succos, which just passed, is a good time to see them, and Chanukah (this year in December).
So Catchy!!
8:10 all I know is that Dovid still sings and that Binyomin is a Dr
The words are from the liturgy of the holiday services, specifically the Mussaf prayer of the Three Pilgrimages and the High Holy Days: "Galeh kavod malchuscha aleinu me'heira..." (Reveal the splendor of Your Kingdom over us, speedily) "... v'hoifah v'hinasei aleinu ..." (and appear and be uplifted over over us) "... l'einei kol chai" (before the eyes of all life). (Transliteration and translation mine, on the fly. /ch/ is pronounced like the Scottish _loch,_ or how I hear you pronouncing "h".)
What i find a little unfortunate about this MBC fad is that the songs that are exploding arent even their best ones. Some of their old ones from the 90s (especially the slow ones) were the greatest, but its very hard to find live performance clips of those.
1:03 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 guy’s breeeeaaaaaaking his teeth
What do you think about the idea of boys only?
What is the problem?? Even in basketball or football, only men play together without women, why is that okay? ...a boys' choir is intended for the religious sector and this should be respected.
@@ha3105 100 percent agree! Just asking his opinion
checkt out "Hatov" and "Yavoh" as well - they're just as good
Abut them sticking to singing the choir is still going with new talemt
Great video!! Check out London Boys Choir too!
Check out ki avi chazak by yeshiva boys choir
