I love the Golden's Golden moments, like the little silly wiggle after the initial check, the whats that round thing on the floor, and the chomp on the treat. Classic. Goldens are great ❤❤
Wirehaired pointing Griffon was a stud. Did you see how he stood on command and didn’t flinch with a point…..no help. The judges ALWAYS PICK THE SAME DOGS.
I know! I have my 3rd golden and, no matter what other dogs I may have one (or more)would have to be a golden! I can’t imagine not having a golden in my life. They are amazing 🥰!
Because American Labs were always meant as “Field Dogs” and are more athletic, taller and slimmer due to their more energetic nature English Labs (Bench Labs) like the one shown here are the ones that are in Dogs Shows due to their shorter & stockier size and more mellow demeanor
There are a lot of rules around splitting the breeds and the parent club has to agree. I assume the parent club for the lab still hasn't agreed to acknowledge the "American" lab. As far as they're concerned, the slimmer, taller, more pointy-headed labs aren't legitimate - they're just very badly bred labs. A lot of these clubs are old "gentleman's club" stuff. Clique-y, stuck-up, and stubborn. This is also why a labrador hasn't won in ages. iirc they've never won BIS. The standard is stupid compared to other breeds' standards and they won't revise it, so even the best lab in the country can't live up to their standard as well as the other breeds can live up to theirs. That entire "show-style" line of the breed is fcked sideways. Edit: All the AKC has this clique problem. Think about the ages of the people you see. Rarely do you ever see anybody under 40, and all the judges and people with power are 60s and up, including all the "stewards" you see. AKC is aging, without young blood.
@@franmclachlan9120 Hi Fran. Not constantly, but they are allowed to if it helps keep their dogs focused and allow the judges to handle the dogs. We have a Clumber who is very choosy about when he'll take treats. It all depends on the dog.
It would be funny if dogs I know that "smile" would be prompted by owner to do so when the judge asks to see the teeth, instead of dragging its lips up.
It makes me sad how many of these dogs had their tail docked. Those aren’t working dogs, so it’s so unnecessary. It’s only done, because of outdated breed standards.
When I started collecting handbags, my goal was to have a luxury handbag collection of 50. Over the years, Iâve been amazed at how much the kislux has changed my perspective on how many bags I really need, and Iâve been pleasantly surprised with every bag Iâve purchased.

That Visla! GORGEOUSSS.
The amount they say ‘thank you’,‘please’, and ‘congratulations’ makes me so happy and filled with love
Nice to see a chocolate Lab at a major dog show for a change.
They have won Westminster before.
All the judges have been so kind and nice😊
Love labs!❤❤❤
25:49 chonky lab, doing typical lab things
The Clumber was beautiful! They are amazing dogs.
We had one and they are wonderful
Love labs have 2 I ADORE hounds and I adore bulldogs
Wirehaired pointing Griffon was a stud. Did you see how he stood on command and didn’t flinch with a point…..no help. The judges ALWAYS PICK THE SAME DOGS.
i absolutely love that it is a chocolate lab!
That Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever was a winner.
I may be biased, Golden #1 every time :)
I have owned 2, and I agree with you 100%. The Golden seems to never be chosen. Westminster too.
I know! I have my 3rd golden and, no matter what other dogs I may have one (or more)would have to be a golden! I can’t imagine not having a golden in my life. They are amazing 🥰!
Maybe because they are TOO popular 🤷🏻♀️?
Don’t know….
All the unusual dogs are awesome, interesting, hairy and beautiful. The Golden shows up and she says " I'm the pretty one (lol)!
That Clumber Spaniel is special!
The Laggoto was so cute! My favourite breed. Maybe one day I'll own one.
I don't see many spaniels or setters in Kansas. They are lovely when they use a quick gaited walk.
I am a Chessie fan, and this one is quite nice. It's time for a Curly Coat to win, though
Why aren’t there both American and English Labrador categories?
Because American Labs were always meant as “Field Dogs” and are more athletic, taller and slimmer due to their more energetic nature
English Labs (Bench Labs) like the one shown here are the ones that are in Dogs Shows due to their shorter & stockier size and more mellow demeanor
I wish there was. Or at least that labs that are not overweight butterballs would make it to higher levels of showing.
Because there is no recognized difference

That Clumber Spaniel is beautiful! We had one snd what a nice breed ❤
Bring on the hounds.❤
What gorgeous dogs!
That English cocker is beautiful, my dream breed
They should post their names, etc. After all, we're only human and interested in such details. 😊
Now for the serious dogs! I'm fond of Chessies !!
Class act to introduce the stewards. Unsung heroes !
To the person shouting "Whoo-hoo"...Stop doing this. You're always the only one and it is distracting and annoying.
Go!clumber❤
The National dog show❤😊
@@bessmulholland5805 Wasn't that fantastic? Spot on!
The wire hair pointer is cute 🥰
All Spaniels? Oh my
1:43 ....what was that sound?
All gorgeous
anyone know who the breeder is of the parti-color acs? my parti girl(handle pic) is out of two akc grand champions.
I just want to be at the back with all the dog queing 😭 they’re having the time of their life just hanging out
hard to 'get my head around' the HUGE differene in conformation and presentation between the American type English Setter and the English Setter.
Llewellyn and lavarack. It's not American-type, it's just called field vs bench-style or Llewellyn vs lavarack. But yeah, almost different dogs!
Never got why some breeds are separated by color...why not just one American cocker?
Then why not one poodle or dachshund?
because dog shows are mainly about beauty contests
@LolatheACS they're about producing dogs that conform to breed standards.
@carolynstewart8465 the poodles are different sizes so I get that and the dachshunds have totally different coats....
The separations are decisions made by the individual breed club
Hb the english cocker spaniels ?
I’m new to watching dog shows so forgive the question. Are the trainers constantly feeding the dogs treats?

Best group
my hubby prefers beagle-bassets, for rabbits.

Sad to see the cropped tails on some breeds.
That and ears. Always makes me so sad. 😢

So sad only showed first place and then I’m not sure what kind of dog won only said once
MSNBC back this therefore no need to watch this show...
