Hello! I’m interested in the field and was curious if you would please elaborate on practicing based on your values and why this is something you mentioned multiple times in this video. Are there some concerns somewhere thinking about going into the field should be aware or think about? Perhaps you were referring to the ethics and debates around the tests themselves?
Thank you for your comment. What I am eluding to broadly is my preference to spend as much time with clients and families as needed, rather than being told I can only see a client for X numbers of hours because insurance approves only X number of hours. Often providers go above and beyond for their patients, but there are times when insurance dictates time allotted for patient care. I hope this clarifies, and I wish you well on your journey!
Thank you for your message. Feel free to fill out the form on my Contact page (thebrainhealthconsultant.com). Good for you for seeking board certification! I wish you well on your journey!
Thanks for your message! My favorite clinical neuropsychology textbooks include: The Textbook of Clinical Neuropsychology (Morgan and Ricker), Neuroanatomy through Clinical Cases (Blumenfield), and Neuropsychological Evaluation of the Child (Baron). I wish you well on your journey!
