I've watched a few of your videos and thank god I'm getting the scales after 40 years. I can play most chords and have great finger picking and great rhythm but scales and soloing to me was like a dyslexic reading the times. For every you tube tutorials yours are the best and I'm getting it thank you my man your a legend and a great player. 👍 thank you
Explaining theory in an easily understood way and how to use it musically is the key to making guitar lessons helpful to players. This video does exactly that. Thanks Jules! Glad I found your channel.
This so great Jules! I came back tonight for this lesson and now I am doing these things I once thought I would never do on a guitar! It is so much fun! Thank you! Thank you!
Great instruction, but a bit confusing because your fretboard diagrams show it as viewed from the same position the audience sees it. Most fretboard diagrams view it from the player's perspective. That's much easier to follow for the player. I hope you'll consider showing it that way on future videos. Thanks.
Judging from several replies to my comment about the orientation of the fretboard diagram by Jules, it seems like a consensus is forming and, hopefully he will make the adjustment going forward.
At first, I didn’t like how your chart was orientated, but holy damn did it really FORCE me to understand the placement of my fingers- I’m a rookie so it was kinda nice to force my brain there. But please for the future.. flip it lmao
Great again. Question: is the higher P box you use at the end of the video the simplified Penta (5 notes lesson) on 17/19/20, strings 1 & 2 (Si Mi)? It sounds really good with the bend and/or string. Big thanks!
Addiction is when you watch a video like this and are almost in rage because it ends...
Thank you for sharing your lessons with clarity and talent!
Love how you simply explain, show and demonstrate with a backing track making the lesson quick and easy to understand.

I agree that the lesson is great but the chart is confusing and inconsistent with all other lessons. Thank you.
I agree - it totally confused me
I felt dyslexic, couldn’t get my bearings
I'm left handed so the diagrams were great 👍 for me.
Transpose it in your mind dur
Where do you get the backing tracks from, Jules?

Whats the difference between a STING compared to a note Slide?
Great again. Question: is the higher P box you use at the end of the video the simplified Penta (5 notes lesson) on 17/19/20, strings 1 & 2 (Si Mi)? It sounds really good with the bend and/or string. Big thanks!

Yes, learn more mechanistic techniques. Do not learn how to play expressively to communicate vivid messages.
