    Excellent space Ivy. This is my kind of setup especially when I am remotely working in Accra. A clean kitchen worktop makes a great standing desk.

    These are American prices. Hell No

    • @IvyProsper
      @IvyProsper  Месяц назад

      There are quite a number of properties in Accra that are the same as being in America/Canada. The city has become very expensive in some of the new property developments.
      There are always alternatives at lower price points, especially if you're willing to be outside of the central core of the city.

    • @loudroomreacts
      @loudroomreacts Месяц назад

      @IvyProsper Yes, to come to a third-world country and spend American prices is difficult. $1000 a year rent and $500 a month prices are a Peace of mind.

      @@loudroomreacts I have always hated the term "Third-world". Every time I hear it, I cringe.
      The term "Third World" originated during the Cold War to describe countries that remained non-aligned with either NATO or the Warsaw Pact. The "First World" referred to the United States, Canada, and their allies, while the "Second World" included the Soviet Union, China, Cuba, North Korea, Vietnam, and their allies. This classification broadly categorized nations based on political divisions. The term "Third World" lacked a clear or universally agreed-upon definition due to its complex historical context. Originally, it was meant to be a political grouping rather than an economic one.
      Because most countries that were considered as 'Third World" countries were economically poor and non-industrialized it eventually led to the stereotype of referring to developing countries as "third-world countries." So for decades we have had people, like yourself, use the term 'third-world' to refer to African countries and other developing nations. In political discourse, "Third World" was often associated with underdevelopment. Some countries, like Cuba, were sometimes considered part of the so-called Third World. This group typically included nations with colonial histories in African countries, South American countries, Oceania, and Asia, and was sometimes synonymous with countries in the Non-Aligned Movement.

      @IvyProsper Madaam. That's how the world sees it. Developing country is another one, Developing since when? Most African countries had their Independence in the 1950s. The people you are advertising to for DOLLARS sees these places as Third-world. People won't leave New York to Mississippi to pay New York prices. No guaranteed electricity weekly, No guaranteed water to bath weekly, still using bucket to take a bath. The world puts Africa in the Same category as the others like Bangladesh and Nepal etc.

      @@loudroomreactsApologies for my rant. I just get frustrated with the use of third world in 2024. I prefer the term developing country. In fact I thought that was the term used now and that third world was slowly being retired. @loudroomcontroversial
