Great Video, Bonnie. My LR is out for delivery. I had to take a break from Cleaning my sewing space to watch.

Thank you for these videos. I am considering buying a Cutie frame and your informative videos have been very helpful, however, I am wondering if it would be feasible to layer the quilt sandwich on a tabletop as I would normally do, but without spray basting or pinning, and then load it onto the frame, obviously placing the quilt centrally and checking that each layer is smooth before clipping?

I still often layer my quilts on my cutting table. When I do this I will pin the corners and one or two in the field (middle).
I find it's useful to have as many methods in your pocket as possible.

Is there any way to put a leader cloth on the using this method or do I need to build my quilt sandwich on a table.

You could actually, and it might be easier.
In this case, clip the leader onto the back, leaving out enough to pin backing to. then pin backing to the leader and continue with the other layers.

I’ve yet to see the frame actually being used with a domestic machine.

I started out with the Jazz II...fell in love with the Cutie Frame BECAUSE it worked so well with the BabyLock Jazz II. I later acquired a Brother PQ1500SL and original SureStitch. The videos I shot with those two machines are only available in my face look group (Cutie Quilters).
I only upgraded to the Q'nique after becoming really skilled at using the frame with those two DOMESTIC machines.
