HI dez, You would need to program in the house ID of both the quick connect and the 5828 to match. We can dive further into details if you'd like to throw us an email.
I have configured TCC800 Fob at Galaxy 48 panel. It is working but it generates 1 tamper zone error message. Logs says it is related to 1008 PA. I have a clue that it has to do with termination a kind of EOL or something. I have nothing connected at RIO 1 and RIO 2 outputs. Could you give me a tip?
I too would love a video on programming the AUX buttons on the left side. I would like to program an away and stay button (possibly a police and fire button too).
The 5828 is just a wireless keypad that works with a Honeywell wireless security system. If your security system supports a 5828 keypad, then it will also support a 5800WAVE siren.
Thank you Sterling ... a Honeywell installer is trying to get a 5800 to work 100' from the house in my wood shop. He had to replace a board with 2 antenna because it was not bidirectional ... just receive, not sent I think in my house. He replaced it, but never retried the 5800 afterwards. Just ordered another 5800. I think that because of the 5800 being bidirectional, the board being replaced would have fixed the problem. Thanks again for your time.
Not quite sure of the question. 2-Ademco 6271 Color Touch Keypads ... Battery back up ... wireless output if power is cut ... one up and one down stairs. But the system is across the street that he can not get the 5800WAVE to work. But I think that the board he replaced was to make the system bidirectional and he never checked the 5800 after he installed the board. Its hard to discuss this over a keyboard and my knowledge is limited. But I am mechanically inclined (automotive for the last 40 years)
Jeff Altenderfer We would need the model number of the system to talk in more detail. You can also always call us at 888-818-7728 if you'd rather discuss it over the phone.
Only installation mistake I noticed was that if you’re going to fish the wire in the wall, you should have made sure there wasn’t a stud behind the backplate access hole...and that drill was a little much😉
Very good points! Thank you for commenting as I'm sure it will help others that are looking to install their Honeywell wireless 5828V keypad. Checking your wall with a stud finder before drilling is definitely recommended.
Hey Rob, we will be making a video like that. We are doing our best to keep up with the videos, but there is so much demand we don't have a scheduled date to get to all of them. We will make sure to leave a comment here when we get the AUX button programming video finished.
Where is the part you show how to program it to the quick connect
HI dez,

How do I attach this to my vista 20p alarm system with a 6160rf keypad.
5828 wireless keypad
When put AA battery it works, but when put 5vdc it does not work. Is there any setting need to do when put a 5vdc supply ?
No there is not I would reach out to Whoever you purchased the product from.

Does the 5828 support a bidirectional 5800 wave siren

Love your videos. What is the max range for installation between L7000 and 5828 given they may be located on different floors?
Does the panel backlight always stay on when connected to an outlet?
Yes
The back light should time out when it's connected to an outlet.
How do you add this to a l5100 ?
Sterling, you're bloody CUTE :D
