i think the song was more of a warning for the horrors of eugenics. designer babies and shit. "man made man". which is becoming more and more of a terrifying reality with the continued dehumanisation of disabled people and the rise of fascist ideologies in the west. i don't think "robot spongebob singing this song" is anywhere near the top of the list for the horrors this song predicts.
