    Kobie has been a General Partner at Upfront since 2016, with a core investing focus on AI, enterprise SaaS and immersive XR platforms. With over two decades of experience in venture capital, Kobie has held key positions at leading firms, including Accel, OpenView Venture Partners, and Insight Venture Partners, where he made early investments incompanies such as Exact Target (which was sold to Salesforce for $2.5B), Usertesting (which had a $1.3B exit), and Oculus (which was sold to Facebook for $2B). His current notable Upfront investments include Cordial, Invoca, Wave, Bevy, Soot and Endgame.
    Kobie's experience extends beyond investing. As the former Chief Marketing Officer at REVOLVE, he played a pivotal role in driving the company's explosive growth. He leveraged his expertise in marketing technology, along with his relationship management skills, to help architect their influencer growth machine from the ground floor up.
    Karuana is an established business leader at Microsoft specializing in Microsoft 365, Copilot and generative AI scenarios, user enablement and global community management. Her team delivers adoption.microsoft.com to empower people to get more from Copilot for Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and other services across modern work and business applications. She is an on-air host for flagship events, the co-host of Mondays at Microsoft a live news-style show broadcast online, executive producer of Coffee in the Cloud on RUclips and a frequent speaker on realizing value from Microsoft service investments while managing the human side of technology projects. As a business solution architect she leads her team to deliver specialized solutions like the Teams Emergency Operations Center and the Champion Management Platform. She is a proponent of the #PeopleFirst strategy of technology implementation and shares this strategy during her frequent speaking engagements.
    For the past 15 years Derek Andersen has been building communities. He is the co-founder/CEO of Bevy, a SaaS product that helps companies like Salesforce, Atlassian, Google, Snowflake, and Adobe build virtual and in-person communities. Bevy has raised $60M from Accel, Upfront Ventures, and others. He co-founded Startup Grind, a community of 600 Chapters in 125 countries educating, inspiring, and connecting startup people. Since 2012 Startup Grind has hosted 20,000 events. In 2010 he co-founded Commonred which was acquired by Income.com. Derek also previously worked as a product manager at Electronic Arts. He currently lives in Palo Alto CA with his wife and four children.
